It's a thread to talk about paint jobs done poorly. He didn't say he had a poorly painted character.

I have an ignitor that one arm wasnt painted in blue

all my skylanders have at least one paint mess up. some are tiny, some are huge.

My Flashwing has a tiny splash of blue on her wing like Partajeesus but smaller.

Rushing = Poorly done paintjobs ending up for millions on eBay.

I always see horrible paint jobs in stores.
Its actually pretty hard for me to find a paint job that I would consider "decent"
the first time I found Eye-Brawl, this was back when they were still super hard to find, well I didn't even buy him because of all the extra paint on his eye ball.
lucky a week later I found a decent one to buy.

most i find are decent, but theres always some bad ones in there, i do all i can to check for any mistakes before purchasing, i cant stand seeing an error on my figure when its sitting on display, its all i can see >.<

Never seen a bad paint job in real life, I haven't noticed any problems in my collection... When I bought Thumpback I had heard of numerous people having such issues, so I paid attention. There were two others with slight imperfections, so I picked the one without such, but neither was anywhere NEAR what's been shared here!

when I picked up gill runt the guy tried to give me one that had two iris printed in one eye then i said do you have another the guy said yeah and gave me one with the yellow sprayed all over his cheek. I left went to another store and got a nice one no way was i taking that crap.

Mine are all fine. worse is pop fizz but its not bad. he has a very tiny bit of brown stuff on his "hair".

My Eye-Brawl has multicolored polka-dots.

I had to check paint jobs on my Thumpy before purchasing. And I once saw an Eyebrawl with a gold line across his skull buckle thing.

Wow, those are some terrible mess-ups but what about inconsistencies? Figures you know should look the same, but you find multiples of that look different. Not chase variants mind you, I'm talking about Chill's Lips either being Blue, Red, or Purple. Or how about LC Prism Break's crystals being either Green or Blue. I've read some of the older topics, but wondering if anyone has come across other un-common figures like these over the course.

I haven't had a lot of botched paint jobs with my Giants figures, actually...Spyro's Adventure takes the cake in that department.

I don't really notice them anyway, which must mean that they're too small to care about.

I just saw a badly painted Chill. It had blue paint that was all weird n stuff.

I care a lot about how my figures look and how well painted they are. Luckily, i've been quite fortunate in getting hold of figures that are painted reasonabley well.
Perhaps the worst paint job I have is my Dino-Rang and even that one's pretty minor stuff: Several sloppy areas where the gold trimmings meet other-coloured areas, and a place near his thigh somewhere where you can see the black base paint that was used underneath the green of his scales.

A lot of the Series 2 figures have worse paint then their Series 1 incarnations.

I think chill gets the worst paint job. The giants are always pretty good.

From what I've seen, Thumpback has been notorious for bad paint jobs, though... A thread on bad Thumpback paint jobs (specifically) was how I first heard that some figures have bad jobs.

So do ya think this should get moved to Toys N Merch? Yes or nah.

Nah.. I feel like this forum is more visible. I certainly check this one more. I wouldn't check Toys & Merch at all - and didn't used to - until they shoved my favourite thread there.

I've been noticing a decline in quality paint jobs a lot more often with the Giant figures (as in for this game and not the actual Giants). What's happening with the production process?

^I think it's simply a scalability problem and they have to hurry to make production quotas. Problem is, Activision isn't checking them it looks like. Oh well. When folks stop buying it because the quality is crap it will be on them.

The worst I have would be S1 Stealth Elf. her hair has equal (but uneven) amounts of black and blue. It actually looks ok, but not like the original.

The Skylanders In Canada thread, got moved without the OP even knowing about it. I find it useful for fellow Canadians sharing tips on where figures can be found, and what figures/packs have yet to be spotted in Canada. Because of it I know that NOW I can try looking for the Scorpion Striker pack and Molten Hot Dog.

IDK, his wings look translucent, that's more than a weird paint job, it seems like he's also some variant I haven't heard of (the lack of eyes ALSO make it a bad/missing paint job, but the translucent wings would be pointless if they were just supposed to be painted over).

I went to The Warehouse today and saw 2 LC Drobots that had bad packaging and one of the eyes on one had a black scratch!

my flashwing also has a splash of blue
