I just received this email from Walmart:

At the end of January, we reached out to let you know that a manufacturing shortage forced us to cancel your preorder(s) for the Skylanders Adventure Pack.

We know this was disappointing, so to show that we appreciate your interest in Skylanders and your choice to shop at Walmart, we've worked with our supplier to send you a free Skylanders Adventures action figure. (one figurine per affected customer)

We have sent the free action figure to the same delivery address as your original order, with no shipping charge and no purchase necessary. (Please note that this is not one of the figures from your original order.)

I think this must be from the EOI pack when they had it up for pre order a while back. Anybody else get this? Nice to hear something good in relation to Skylanders for once. I wil update when i get it.

Yeah I just posted this- I got it as well. It was because of the EOI pre-order.

It will be masterful trolling if it ends up being something like Drill Sarge.

That's pretty cool that they're doing that though. That cancelling all orders thing was just as bad as TRU taking DP away from people.

I doubt we'll get lucky enough to get one from the newest wave.. One can hope!

At least Wal-Mart is apologizing and making up for something that was out of their control (manufacture shortage), as opposed to TRU just being jerks about last minute street dates for stock that's there and ready for purchase.

So when they come, post what you get!

I got the email too.. I don't need anything but the new ones but that's ok, the thought that counts. If (big if) I get a new one I'm estatic, any old one I get I either have double of a character or I sell it to a friend for their son for $10 bucks... Big thanks to walmart (I have full faith that the free skylander will be part of wave 1)

A blue bash would be nice, though ill happily accept a Lightning Rod or Zook!

I received the same..... I can't wait to see what it is. Honestly, as disappointing as this was at the time (I don't think it was really Walmart's fault), I thought it was understandable. So this is really a nice gesture that is above and beyond, IMO. I'll be happy with whatever I receive.

Does this includw those like me that pre ordered camo cynder warnado and wham shell in december for june release? My pre orders were cancelled a couple months after I placed the order?

My order for all of the remaining Skylanders is still on there. That's odd, seeing as people keep saying their preorders were cancelled.

GM are u sure ur pre order is not cancelles? Im going to call wal mart and raise hell if it isnt. I do not want to wait in anymore lines. I need camo warnado wham shell and then im logging off this site til Giants release and getting some rest lol.

So am I. I am incredibly impressed at the amazing customer service they're offering. A store just recently cancelled my brothers order for Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City and they're not doing CRAP about it. Not even offering it for the same price in store that it was online.

I got this same email. It has to be from the EOI Adventure Pack. It's the only thing I've ordered online from Walmart that's Skylanders related.

I'm gonna keep checking the tracking for it, and as soon as it arrives, I'll let you all know what it is. I'm assuming it's not EOI, which would be cool I'll admit, because it says "action figure" in the email title and then it says "one figurine" in the body of the email.

Also, I think it's neat that Walmart's using UPS to do this. I like UPS.

I sent wal mart an email last night asking why I was not includwd when mine was cancelled and they sent me a response at 5am with a tracking number for my free figure. Hopedully they send us camo lolololol

CHecked my tracking. Mines in Orlando now (3 hours from me) so I should get it tomorrow or Monday (unless UPS works Sundays, not sure )

I know someone that works for wal mart. These are being sent out by activision actually. They are trying to make amends with wal mart. Wal mart had so many mad customers they were about to stop carrying skylanders bc of all the phone calls and empty shelves. They were tires of activisions crappy production. Seems like activision is trying to win them over.

Mine won't be delivered until the 28th but at least it has tracking info. now...wow I'm both shocked and impressed.

I wonder why they are doing this only for EOI, I had preorded all of wave 4 and 5 and those were all cancelled. You would think they would have eventually received enough stock to fill those preorders.

Thanks and I was shocked I figured it was gonna be one that I already had, or one that really wasn't worried about getting. And it's weird my pre order for camo is still pending while the other where canceled.

As in, the free Skylander was Stealth Elf

Nice. They cancelled ALL my single character perorders recently but I haven't revived anything like this in email. Maybe it's only for the adventure packs?
