This doesn't look like it'll fit anywhere else, so I'm starting a topic for it.

For those of you who are members of deviantART or who just want a convenient place to find Skylander art, stories, and news, I started up a group:

Spyro Skylanders

Feel free to offer suggestions and pass along relevant news or art. If you aren't a member of dA and want your art/stories added to the group, just let me know where to find the work, how to credit you properly, and where you'd like group visitors to find you and I'll add your stuff to the gallery.

My suggestion would be to add a specific file for stories, rather then have it in the same file as "characters".

Like my little idea I'm thinking of doing involves mini comics of the cast of my little series LITHOD (Life In The House Of Dragons), accidentally setting off Spyro's "Go inside a game" machine (Long Story Short: Spyroid owns a flying citadel (That doesn't fly) and lets characters from games, books, movies, alternate universes and such live with her, the Spyro in HER universe has a short attention span unless it involves something shiny, and a horrible singing voice, yet somehow he manages to build a complex device ) and get sucked into the "Skylanders" universe and get "Goblin-ifyed". Doesn't seem like something that'd be linked to "Characters"

I'll definitely add "comics" and "stories" folders when we get any. I usually save that for when there's something to put in it (like I did with the Elora dA group).

Ahh, so when time comes and I finally get around it it, just put it in "General" and you'll make the folder and move it?

Yep, that's how it works. I have the group set so that everything that comes to it has to be approved by someone; it ensures we don't get troll spam in there.

No, I haven't got a DA account and Brawler told me you need to activate one by email.

Oh! Yeah, Brawler's right about that. But you can still have stuff posted the group anyway, just send me a PM with all the relevant info and I can direct visitors to your profile page here (or where ever else you want them to find you).

Why join a group of something you hate? That makes as much sense of me joining the Kingdom Hearts fanbase.

Yeah, the haters on the group are annoying. I've banned two and reported their comments as the spam it is. The one guy seems to feel it is his duty to harass anyone who likes SSA and I had to block him from my main gallery, too.

I have some Gill Grunt art I'd post here, but I can't even do that... *sobs*

That would be awesome! The group isn't just for drawings, after all. Any creative work, as long as it's yours, is allowed there.

1. Do you get email alerts? And if you do, and you turn them off?
2. Can you change your set birthday()?
3. What's with those *s and ~s that are at the end of people's names when you look at their art? I've heard of Unlimited Membership, does this have something to do with that?

Just don't want to set it up next week...

You have to pay for a Premium Membership, you don't exactly get email alerts of the messages on DA except from the staff, you can change your birthday setting, and ~ means Normal member while * means Premium Members.

Aww. Can you disable the email notifications? I think I already get enough from Webs... I hate email alerts with every bone in my body... :/

Well you don't exactly get email alerts from every comment people post on your art and page. You get updates on the status DA, which doesn't happen often.

Oh, okay. Sort of like how we get News and Updates here.

Drawn a purple version of the griffin(with different armour), some pics of Grunt and two alternate Triggers.

I've given the group over to someone else, so I'm not sure how active it's going to be. I wound up starting a group just for goblin Spyro, though, because he's really the only thing I'm overly interested in from the game so far (I love his design and I like the possibilities for older Spyro characters in that style).
