According to Wikipedia, that's when we can expect the movie. That'd be epic, considering on the 26th next month we get How to Train Your Dragon. However, I checked the foot notes and sources and can't seem to find another site saying April 10th.

Meh, we can at least hope it's right this time, and that the movie won't be delayed more.

I prefer not to use Wikipedia...

I know for a fact they lie. Know why? Because anyone can put anything on there.

And besides, if you only got that info from one site, Wikipedia at that, it probably isn't true.

I'm going to assassinate myself if that info is right. (Just joking,)

Is there REALLY an OFFICIAL site that says the movie is in production? really?I mean ALL we got is 1 SINGLE picture,and obviously fake info from Wikipedia,and where's the trailer? It should have been released by now if it's coming out in April,... But I don't really care cos I really don't want it to happen ...(MaH oppinionzz Dsmilie

Well becouse I think it's absolutly unneccesary to make a movie about
something that we know all about aka the TloS trilogy.It'd be different if it was a book or something but we got actual cutscenes and know all about whats happening.If it wasn't based on the TLOS trilogy and it had a completly different story I would might even consider it...

But I think Spyro should just stick to video games and not taking part in movies becouse that's just Sierras/Activisions (whoever the hell owns him these days) way of getting attention and making moar moneyz(just like they did with TLOS...make somekind of beat-em-up /*epic* game and just slap Spyro's name and logo onto it and change everything we knew about him*shot*)

And becouse I'm afraid it would suck like a lot of other video-game based movies (now I'm NOT saying all of them suck,there are some exceptions but it's not easy to pull it of right)

They should just take their time and focus on making a good quality Spyro game then trying to advertise it around with a movie( becouse the best way to get attention is to make a good game )

The information on this movie has been very well kept. I'm interested in knowing why we were told Christmas 2009 (who said that, anyways?) and now April 10th... Anyone know where this information could be coming from?

I was curious about the release date of this movie, too. I couldn't find the movie release date saying "April 10th, 2010" anywhere on Comingsoon.net. In fact, the only information you can find on the Spyro movie on Comingsoon.net is here, and even here the data about the movie is lacking.

I'm starting to think no movie is coming. They said December. December came and went, no movie. Now we have less than two months and no trailer?

Toy Story 3, Alice in Wonderland, etc, had trailers months before their release, it's all very suspicious to me. I just wish an official would come out and either confirm or deny this movie existing at all.

The Christmas 2009 date was either a rumor or part of the info leak from Velvet Octopus... in either case it came through unofficial channels and should not be considered an absolute.

No idea where the April 2010 comes from, probably a rumor.

As to whether or not a movie is coming: there was more than enough info to show a movie was planned, and the only reason it would be cancelled is if the poeple making it think that it will not make enough to be worth trying to sell it. This is because there it usually cost money upfront to get the rights to make such a movie, thus you are already in the hole before you start filming.

However IMDB says the movie is in production.
