Interesting, it reveals all the names of the levels.

It seems there is not battle arena or kaos doom challenges. Instead there are "adventures".

also couldn't help but notice there's only 1 achievement/trophy for beating the story & it's just beat the game. no nightmare achievement this time...smilie

Then again, beating harder modes unlock better Gear, and you need "Ultimate" gear of every type to get the last Achievement/Trophy on the list.

I figured as much...just surprised there's no nightmare achievement after 4 games in a row with one. I just hope they learned from what VV did in Superchargers and allow us to change difficulty on the fly with nightmare available from the get go. One of my few complaints about Giants & Trap Team was that you had to beat the game to unlock nightmare then start a 2nd file just for nightmare....if so, nightmare run on 1st playthrough for me

Some of this stuff might have been already confirmed previously, but it seems:

  • We have a level related to Pop Fizz (Fizzland).
  • We have a level related to Spyro or dragons in general (Dragon Temple).
  • Based on the icons, each level has a Doomlander fight at the end.
  • There are a lot of different "Adventures". Maybe they are similar to the Quests in Superchargers?
  • Forever alone Eruptor.

This looks like it will have the same longevity as SuperChargers. In and out of my drive in a month. And that's taking my time. Turn it on to register the new guys in Oct/Nov and Feb/Mar....been there done that.

It's nice to see there looks to be a few side quests and challenges .

I'm not too worried about the smaller number of levels as long as there's extra content afterwards / in between .

Also the first skylanders game only had 10 level achievements for the main levels where you collect the elemental sources etc http://www.xboxachievements.co...e/achievements/


Also the big goal of 20 stars doesn't make much sense Considering each level has 3 stars plus whatever other things you can complete to get them .

EDIT: im guessing the prehistoric level is an adventure pack and tri-tip comes with it

First game had 17 levels and 4 adventure packs. I'll let that sink in for a few minutes. Granted some of those levels are the smallest in video game history, but still. 3-4 types of after game challenges with PvP....Giants added arena challenges...If you are hoping there's not an achievement for every level, not sure they've done that in a while. WYSIWYG at this point.

I'm just keeping an open mind lol. Expecting things to stay the same can be as wrong as expecting things to be different . Escpecially for something as trivial as system achievements lol .

Judging by SkyDad's footage of the mushroom level, with there being 3 Soul Gems, it seems like there will indeed be...
Only 10 levels. Which most likely also means that there's only 1 Sensei Shrine per level.

You may be right. The way the achievements are worded around each Doomlander gives me hope. Not to mention that I'll be sorely disappointed if we spend every level tracking down Kaos' minions - which sounds pretty repetitive and doesn't leave too much room for story, other than 'Oh man, we were looking for this thing and Kaos sent another Doomlander?!' if you get what I mean.

Say we were to fit a level between each boss, that would give us 19 levels - add Gryphon Park Observatory to that total and we get a sweet 20. This way, Wumpa Island acts as a sort of 'Bonus' level to tie it all off. Welp, that's a theory I can vouch for.

Even though I think it's unlikely that we'll get more levels at this point, I will admit that there are some things that are kind of odd. Like why is the best objective for level stars only 20? If we get ten levels, and have four objective stars to complete in those levels, then we'd at least get 40 stars, so why would it stop at halfway? But at the same time, if there really were more levels, then why wouldn't they list them in the achievements too?

If there ARE only ten levels, then wouldn't this be the shortest Skylanders game? There had better be some really good bonus modes if so.

I hope the adventures mentioned in "No Madness For You!", "Great Gladiator", and "Local Liberator" lead up to and unlock the bonus modes (like how the part in SG where you rescued Ermit and unlocked the Arena). However, there aren't any achievements for the bonus modes if so.

But if they are the bonus modes, then we're likely getting three extra modes. They could the Arena, Doom Challenge, and Racing, but I'm probably being hopeful because I really want the Doom Challenge to return. However, they'll probably replace that with a new mode.

Well, just because there's no achievement for a bonus mode doesn't mean it's not there, honestly. We know Superchargers Racing is coming back and yet there's no achievement for that.
