does look epic as this variant, I actually see what you mean. I miss all those actual jewel variants such as sparkly pearl, metallic purple and even them glow in the dark ones were pretty cool. Maybe translucent red like

was not just clear. If there's gonna be variants, at least be some crazy creative ones.

I partially agree with you.

I have absolutely no problem with them, and I respect the people who like and buy those variants, but seriously, I would never prefer a single colored or transparent looking Skylander to a regular colored one.

They are not even valuable, to me.
They are just "rare".

I'm different, if I like the color, its a GREAT thing to me. I made my own Employee Prism Break w/ S2 because I liked the all gold look on him (and wasn't trying to make a fake, hence the S2). I've done this with several others as well for fun, it really depends on the figure, the color and possibly theme. Heck - Knight Light is pretty much two colors. It gives them a "trophy" look when done with metallics. GITD is a waste I admit. These Crystal ones would be 9000% better if they snuck at least a single LED in the bottom so they light up on the portal.

I wouldn't mind if they were rare (able to find but will take a bit of searching just like a kaos trap). But these clear trap masters look really good, their clear traptanium weapon just adds to the effect.

Some of them look cool (like Golden or Jade), but some others look just bland, to me (GITDs, as you said, or the clear ones).

If only they had at least a lore explanation...

And i also agree about Knight Light. Even if glitters partially make it up for me... Partially...

However, I don't like variants in general, so I'm not the right person to decide which one is good and which isn't.
