Oh Eon yes, this will be so useful for future purchases. It's better to encourage it a lot when the next game comes out though, people just don't ask enough about them.
My personal recommendations: If you're clumsy like me, Swarm Summoner is the way to go. I learned that you can jump cancel out of the summoning, which will be much faster to manage than his sword moves in the long run if you have a tendency to just slide across the screen instead of hitting as much as possible. With the stun and slowing powers, you can quickly back away from everything, heal up once the main swarms are done, and power new ones up as enemies start approaching again. It's a little tedious to go secondary attack-jump halfway through to attack, but with his speed it's much safer. Shard Shooter. The obvious extreme of zoning and melee combined. The chance of shooting shards is much higher than it seems at first, and by standing in a corner and alternating between mashing the primary and secondary attacks you can make quite a mess of the enemies before diving in. There's little use of the cyclone with this path, however, because of TT's mechanics where the enemies turn around instantly; if it changes in the future it might be actually viable to activate the cyclone and just shower it in shards as I thought I could when I chose the path. It might be a weird one to recommend a path in this game since she's just a smaller S1 Hex, but Shade Master finally has a chance to shine with her. Unlike Hex, she can turn corners on enemies much faster, meaning that there's little need to waste time casting skulls instead of just spamming orbs and then running away. Bone Crafter is no less viable, but if you already have a Hex and you want some variety, there it is.

On Tantrum Thrower ne can do 89 damage per hit. The tantum lasts about seven seconds (plus the shockwave at the end makes it longer) and he can kill an armored Grave Clobber in one tantrum. I would choose Tantrum Thrower

May I suggest a few?
Rowdy Richter. Fist Bump is so tanky, in a way, that I don't think he needs a way to heal. His Soul Gem make this one an almost obvious choice, as you'll just have to spam the fists, and a rain of rocks and shards will fall upon your enemies. It's incredibly useful, during the Kaos Doom Challenges. But don't worry, it isn't a mindless button mash, as you can still choose where you want the most consistent cracks to be. He's quite strategycal, for such a bulky character. Speedy Slammer. You might be scared to take this path, at first, as he's REALLY a fragile character, and in the higher difficulty he might die with just one or two hits... But believe me, this is the path that will make High Five shine. Litterally. Once again the Soul Gem is a huge help, as the upgraded apples will basically restore you full health (I'm still at a lower level, mind it), and the slam is a great crowd-control move. Oh, and the quicker dashes are also really useful, when you want to rapidly pass an area (and kill a few enemies in the process). I personally would find him kinda wasted, on the Pollen Prince path, as he would basically become a venomous 2.0 Drobot. Bat Betterment. From what I read, she's a beast on both paths, but I personally prefer this one for a couple reasons. The improved bat form can now summon bats directly, without having to change to his other one, and they now follow you. However, you can still place them strategically, if you don't come too close. I personally found the bite to be a meh move, before, but now it is really helpful, and it's crazy, combined with the screech that now powers up the bats. The Soul Gem doesn't help that much this time, but it inflicts so much damages, that I honestly couldn't care less.

I would choose the Cannonball path for Ka-Boom. It has a very high amount of power and the range is incredible after getting the ricochet upgrades. And after getting the Triple Cannonballs upgrade, you can pretty much destroy a squad of enemies without much hassle. In the Doom Challenge, the cannonballs help too as you can just fire from a distance and take care of any incoming enemies, regardless of arena traps.

Even if it's on the basis of only one upgrade, Crackshot Croc is my personally preferred path for Snap Shot. The Hydro Arrow is pretty good, allowing you to move at (mostly) normal speed while charging it up, but Traptanium Fletchette is probably the best upgrade, since the arrow shards home in on enemies. It's the second-best way to take out a horde of low-health enemies like Chompies.
Anyone have an idea for an upgrade path for Head Rush or Gusto?

Before someone takes away my dear Deja Vu, I wanted to recommend Remember to live. I'm sure the other path is good as well but this one sounded a bit better to me. Her first upgrade is beastly because now her past selves explode THREE TIMES instead of just once. One explosion does 70 damage, so three would make 210 damage in total! Her second upgrade heals Deja Vu if her past selve gets hit, it sounded better than freezing enemies. But the upgrade isn't that great, it's tricky to use and after all it doesn't heal that much. Her last upgrade is the actual reason I went with this path, the dual space time shots. Now you can shoot two space time shots at once, that means you can activate two black wholes at once.
I hope this could help! |

- Stomp Harder With Head Rush's play style, she is not the best when she gets surrounded. So then it becomes a matter of how you are going to get rid of them the quickest. With her stomp path, you get the job done MUCH quicker, and it adds as kind of a basic attack for any battle when charging forward won't help much. Cant say too much for Gusto at the moment

I have tried both paths on Gusto, and I feel very strongly that you should take his boomerang path, Air Ace. The other path leaves the boomerang almost completely useless, and just turns Gusto into a little ball of electricity who must deal damage by touching things. You are (possibly) invincible while you're a ball of lightning, but it does so little damage, and when it wears off you'll be sitting in the middle of the enemies, sure to get hit. The boomerang path makes Gusto a serviceable ranged character, and knocks enemies around while creating all kinds of hazards for the enemies to get hit by. You're usually better off with Gusto whacking things from range, and then using the other two moves if enemies get too close. Having to be at close range all the time is something to avoid in Skylanders if you can.
Tantrum Thrower is one of the strongest melee specializations in the game. The range on it is absolutely absurd, and the damage is incredible as well. It ticks for about 90 damage each hit, but it hits like 3 times per second, and Wallop can continue walking at full speed while doing it. There's no cooldown on it, so you just have to hold the attack button for about 5 seconds and let go and just hold it again. The only downside to Wallop is that he's almost boring because almost nothing can stop him. You really have to go with Flamberge Aficionado. The combos aren't that exciting to me, but the other path does not seem to work at all. I mean literally it seems to do nothing, at least once you've bought every upgrade. Knight Mare does have strong attacks, though, so powering them up makes sense. You can certainly do a lot of damage with her basic attacks and combos. Plus, on the Flamberge Aficionado path it's not like the other two moves are useless. You can and should still use the horn. Bloomer and Boomer. The blooms of doom do a very good amount of damage, and make Food Fight a very good character in any situation where you are trying to escape a horde of enemies. Laying a line of blooms will kill most normal enemies who are chasing you. You would think that the same logic would apply here as I used for Gusto, but it doesn't, because the Tomato path actually does very little to improve Food Fight's effectiveness from range. Unless you are collecting tomato plants, there's no damage increase AT ALL. So in this case it makes more sense to improve Food Fight's ability to kill enemies who get too close to him. Quote: Bifrost
I agree. On this path the swarm becomes a ranged homing missile that stuns things and heals you. Just too good. Krypt King is my go-to character if I'm fighting a boss that I haven't practiced. He survives a long time. |

Oh yeah, definately going to change Food Fight's path once I have more time to play. You'd think that on the tomato path you'd run into the plants often enough, but because of the slight pause between shots and how long his range is you're firing at walls or gaps more than anything.

This is a tricky one to pick, and reminds me a bit of Knight Mare's choices. You have one path that just gives combos and a slight damage boost, and another path that does something unique but not that awesome. In the end I would say that Pouncy Pounce! is a better choice because it gives her the ability to heal, and honestly if you're going to play as Tuff Luck, you might as well use her clover and stealth moves since otherwise she's just another slash and combo character. The damage boost from the clovers and pounce isn't really bad at all, anyway. I mean at the very least you can spawn clover all over the place that'll damage incoming enemies.

This is a tough call because neither path does anything to directly increase the damage you do, and neither path affects Blastermind's main attack. I chose Psychokinetic because I would rather spend my time shooting projectiles that help me to kill things from a distance, and this path gives the projectile the chance to slam enemies down when they're being levitated. The other path will give you a mind control, though, which is fairly unique. I didn't choose it because I would rather just kill stuff quickly, but it might be worth messing around with. Has anyone found it to be useful? |

For Enigma, he's like Tuff Luck.
His Invisible Invader does extra damage on Ninja Style (attacks do extra damage when coming out of invisibility), Mindboggling (Paradox Pound does extra damage) and his last upgrade produces a ghost decoy while invisible. The other path's all combos. Invisible Invader, combined with Cloak & Dagger, makes Enigma deadly in stealth mode.

I can agree on this one, as it was a hard choice for me, and when I think about it, Super Spinner is a bit better, as it can deflect projectiles and all that jazz. Though, I like the multiple shards flying everywhere better, and healing shards, which is contradictory to how I use most Skylanders, ( I usually don't pick healing powers ) I don't use Flashwing as a combat-suited Skylander anyways, so I chose Super Shards~ |

I tend to like speed and movement abilities, and I don't really care for most ranged attacks much. With I use all Bullrush and it makes her a lot faster (although she is not as good in Trap Team as she was in Swap Force). With I use all spinning + the prism attack you can use while spinning. It makes her faster / more mobile.
I do agree with you on two of my other favorites, however. Armor Awesomeness for and Deputy's Duty + Grave Springer for . With I mostly spam his dash / charge + AoE slam. With I just keep a Deputy down while I grave spring dash all over the place. I find great mobility to be the most fun to play with.

With Flashwing either way is right, in my opinion, it's all about the playstyle. Except in areas without borders, healing crystals and ricochet crystals will pretty much guarantee an easy time, but if you prefer to close in instead of camping at a crystal to shoot, the spinning makes it a lot more fun.
