Has anyone else on here gotten this game yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

I had the pleasure of playing the beta for it, and i enjoyed it thoroughly even though it was capped at rank 14 and you only had 2 maps. I didnt have much time to play that and i havent had much time to play it today do to mid-terms, but i really like it so far. The only issue i have with it is that online is required to play it. There is no such thing as "single player mode" in this game. I have so far stuck to just matchmaking since campaign seems strange to me. Basically its just a matchmaking game with a mission brief at the beginning vaguely describing what you are doing at the area you are in. Also you're told mission updates part way through your "missions" i'm not really seeing much story, but then again i have only played 3 missions. Also you progress to the next mission even if you lost the last match....With that I dont see any point in playing anything other than matchmaking.

Maybe once i play further a story will start to unfold but as of now, i have no clue as to why the two sides are fighting. I do like the idea of having your custom classes and titans usable in the "campaign" though. That would be so much more fun if there was an actual single player story though. Think about it, it'd let you replay through the story multiple times in different ways, using different play styles.

With my single player issue aside i can say that matchmaking is fantastic. Just playing alongside titans is fun, and its such a joy when you, as just a pilot, manage to outfox and take down a titan by yourself. I havent had that feeling since i was taking down mantis' in halo 4 on foot. They also have it nicely set that you are fighting alongside NPCs. This is a stroke of genius in this game. With that element it lets you feel like you are dominating even when you are losing. Half the time i cant even tell my team is losing unless the game updates me that we are. You can be slaughtering NPCs and feel like you are doing great, and then have to evac because your side lost. This cuts back on rage a lot and makes me want to keep playing because its fun and not because of the results.

I was part of the closed beta and I loved it, what I had some problems with was how short the titans last, everytime I get my titan I'm almost instantly doomed

I have noticed that too, but the beta only had one of the 3 titans available. The one beta users were allowed to use were the mixed ones. If you want durability you need to use the Ogre, the other one is built for speed with very little durability so i never use it. When it came to using the assault titan i usually did hit and run attacks and picked off weakened titans and squished enemies. I have notice that people will ambush titans right after they drop though so that is an issue <.<

I was a part of the beta and got to play around with it for a bit, but admittedly I didn't get to play as much of it as I would have liked. Bought it on PC the other day and pre-loaded it, just waiting for EA to release it in the UK now.

I'm looking forward to this game, and it will also be a good test for my laptop too.

I'm going to have to sample it first, to see if it runs well. If it can run well, I will purchase it.

i just realized that i may have posted this topic a little early since it is not out for the 360 yet <.< my apologies, i didnt know the game had different release dates for the platforms when i created the topic. Some of the people on there are crazy. I have seen generation 3 pilots in the game and it has only been out a couple days. Basically a generation pilots are titanfalls version of "prestige"

Titanfall is amazing!!! One of the best FPS shooters I've played in a long time. Sometimes it can get annoying shooting a lot of bots like grunts and specters but the game is very fast paced and enjoyable. Even if your bad at FPS games you will always get a Titan.
