What do think of people who opinions are formed by other people? [CLOSED]

I think they should make up a goddamn opinion. Just because your favorite YouTuber or reviewer hates something doesn't mean you have to hate it too. If you think a song is bad because your AVGN or Nostalgia Critic hates something because of reasons then don't just copy what they said to make you look better. Even people at school do this just so they can have a chance of being popular which is just dumb as every school attendant says "be yourself" which clearly no student does. I'm just tired of seeing all these fake people in real life and the internet(especially).

tl;dr version:
Just be yourself.

Plain regurgitation is bad but having your opinion form in part due to other people's opinions is perfectly fine.

Well I was sort of like that before, now giving second thoughts into such I think of other things. I just look up people's top tens to see what their opinion would be. Is it the true opinion? No it's just the common opinion, and when looking into games it might be good to hear other's opinions since it can save you money. Is everyone's opinion correct? Only to themselves and friends that can agree on the certain parts.

But if it's word to word from the person on youtube spewing out of another person. I'd say the other person copying what they said is really close minded. If they were saying like their opinion which has parts or bits from another person's opinion because they agree on it, I'm fine with it.

Since all minds are different, it's kind of cool to see what other's think. Kind of the reason why I like looking through posts and asking for constructive criticism in my art.

I've got to disagree there.

Maybe some people do this and it can get on peoples nerves, but many others have reasons to "hate". For example, hating just for the fact that people won't shut up about something and you can't stop hearing about it everywhere you go until it just get's on people's nerves, that's a legit reason in my book.

Well, I must say that I have some sort of varying opinions about people whose views are solely relied on other people’s opinions. There are two different competitive elements here. The first one is the people who are basically going with the flow and don’t bother to inspect subjects at hand and decide to follow the opinions of their believed liking like a sheep. The second competitive element is actually doing research of one’s own and form “enlightened” opinion afterwards based on the result of the study. But this divide is really not that simple at all.

Of course following what others say and do is easy. If the people at charge are the people you like, it is easy to just accept their views and not set them under any type of question. This model has its faults because it does not evolve individual thinking at doesn’t challenge individuals own intellect which is not recommended for a human being. The strength of this system is that it creates fast and simple unity; gathers people as one unit to work for common goals etc. At least that is what I have figured out.

But then there is this opposing field of study which states that one must form the opinion of one’s own based on one’s own experiences and observations (lot of word “one” there). Of course the strength of this system is that it challenges individual mind and intellect. It creates character and helps to find one’s own true standings in this world. Weaknesses are that this system takes time, creates lot of different opinions and in the hands of wrong interpreters it will not lead to any solutions when the opinions need to be gathered and put into practice.

Eventually if we state that we like or dislike the people who build their opinions on building blocks provided by the other people we contradict ourselves. Eventually all the opinions, observations, studies, etc. are conducted and formed by other people. Even though how individual we want to be, at the most profound level our opinions of the subjects are influenced by other people. That is how things simply work in this “world” where actual reality is a reality that is created by all the seven billion of us. At least this is what I consider to be the most probable occurrence of things.

I might give you more opinions... for a small fee of course.

If you watch a video where someone says "I like x" or "I don't like y" and you let this impact your own opinion I have no issue, as long as you take time to consider it for yourself rather than just taking what they say as absolute truth.

There's nothing wrong with trying to gather a variety of opinions, because sometimes people don't notice positive/negatives on a first glance, but I agree that people should always take their time to consider whether you agree/disagree with what someone is saying.

Hey, as long as they're not trying to make me change my opinion using said famous person's opinion as their logic, I don't really care what their opinions are. <.<

There's this kid who kept on rambling on about how he doesn't like ghetto people. When I told him not all of them are bad and they can be cool, he immediately changed his opinion. So ya

Well, I don't like the people who's opinions are just someone else's opinions, just rephrased, or exact words. However, as for the people that use a bit of someone's opinion, and form their own opinion, I don't mind them.

It's perfectly normal to have our opinions influenced by others. Otherwise, what's the point of discussion?

It's only frowned upon when it gets out of hand, like when you blindly agree with what society says without thinking.

Is it wrong to change your mind? No.
Is it wrong to change your mind because of what other people think? No.
Is it wrong to think whatever the hell you want to think? No, even though it's not always smart.

Opinions will always be opinions. They're just points of view (mine included), you need to look past them and inspect the facts lying underneath.
