Okay so, i came home to my mum absolutely screaming at me calling me anorexic, like what the hell. She knows i go through enough in life, my best friend cutting and the other being abused herself. So sitting on couch tears only just stopping but...

I wanted to ask, have any of you guys been accused of being anorexic wrongfully?

By the way, im not anorexic, just normal

Well, my dad once called me "skinny as a rail" joke-fully… But I've never been called anorexic..

When I was 5-9 my relatives were like "Steven you're too ****ing skinny! You're gonna be blown away by the wind!" then I was overweight at 9 1/2-12 they were like "Steven you're too ****ing fat! Go exercise you piece of trash!". All of this was spoken in Vietnamese.

I've been accused to be the opposite of anorexic, I wonder why?

My dad is convinced I am after a not eating a lot phase, but I was feeling depressed then which killed my appetite.

The two of my friends that actually were never got accused by anyone to their faces, even though they looked it.

My parents called me insane for listening to dubstep, but they weren't joking....

Plus, they saw me with a Skrillex computer background, and they said I'm turning into a creepy ****head. V_V

Yea I was accused of being anorexic in my senior year of high school. My Mom was really concerned when I only weighed 90 pounds. What she didn't know was I was so involved in *partying* that I only snacked on potato chips. My Mom broke down crying saying that she feared I was also *purging* I was so hurt when she said that, I stopped partying before going to school and after school. I started having meals with her and gained 5 pounds. I convinced her that I wasn't purging and told her that I'd eat better. I was never anorexic and I never purged. I was always skinny, but then again, I'm only 5' 2' tall.

Man, that has to suck. *hugs*

No, I'm the opposite of anorexic if anything.

People think anorexia is an umbrella term for anyone who's really skinny, never realizing it's an actual medical condition. (Much the same with depression)

I don't believe I have, though my dad asks me to eat more for quite a bit. And I tell him "No I'm full" or when the food is not exactly easy for me to eat thanks to braces "I don't think I can eat that", but for some reason my dad tends to beg like I'm a weak person. So I think he might be implying such at times. But then again he's a jerk so I just really don't care what he thinks. Heck he can even try to prove his point, I'll just ask my friends I doubt they would say such.

An eight grader called me anorexic when I went through a weight loss program through the summer. When I came back I had been only 135 pounds but a lot of people bullied me for wighing more than them and being younger. I lost 45 (close) pounds, and at 90 pounds was called anorexic by a kid I had never even talked to before. Happened in 2013 but it still hurts.

No, I've never been called that. I've been called a twig (I'm not, I do have a bit of a large gut and I consider myself a pretty healthy weight) but not anorexic.

I'm really sorry to hear about all these stories though

Honestly admit that I'm skinny, but my parents have not come to tell me that I look like an anorexic, but if my grandmother, however, she says it because she cares about my health, much more than my parents. But, if there have been some occasions only with new people, that they tell me if I suffer of anorexia. And currently, I'm still having those uncomfortable moments. I just hope that in a few years I can have just a little more weight, and so the people not think again that I'm anorexic.
To be clear, I'm not anorexic, only I have been poorly observed by some people.

Anyway, only one other person (apart from me) knows why I'm skinny. I just hope my family never going to find the real reason of why I'm skinny.
