Quote: DummyZThe exact same thing is happening with me recently beetween performing arts and IT. A lot of people tell me I should go for IT because I am a lot more "skilled" in that aspect. I've wanted to take performing arts since quite some time now, but sometimes I wonder if I should do as they suggested, since I do like that aspect as well, and I'd have a higher chance of success with it. I ask myself if I really want to do it, if I was doing right.
My mind decided yes, I have wanted to do it for a long time, I had proven it plenty of times before. Maybe my mind was so unclear because the proof ddidn't really convince me, but I know that in the future it'll be worth it, I just needed to see for myself that I chose right. I know I haven't taken the wrong path. People were really just giving me a bad picture of it.
So I think you should just go with what you really want, even if it doesn't sound very realistic. In this case, If you really wanted to do editing, go for it!
Yeah, that's a good point
Quote: assassinelfI liked your video.
Thanks
Quote: PixilismVery unsure
Your video was good and your photography is good, it's just that they both seem like they could be unstable since I think usually it's about popularity to make money from it, or getting hired for them.
I'm not totally sure which you should go with, but if I were in the situation I might lean toward photography.
Thanks

Yeah, both are pretty competitive fields and not totally guaranteed ._.
Quote: SamiusQuote: AvatariDragonI'm going to college in August, and I'm probably going to major in film production because I really want to be an editor... But I don't know, I'm kind of having second thoughts already? I really love photography too, and people (even strangers) have told me that I should go down that path. I had planned on photography being a back-up option, but it seems to be more of a realistic choice than editing...
What do you guys think...?
If you're having second thoughts about film production, then I'd say you've already decided.
Besides, it's not completely up to this desicion what your future occupation will be, is it?
Yeah, that's what I was thinking... But the thing is, I'm not having second thoughts about it because I may not want to do it. I'm having second thoughts because it seems harder to get into the movie business than it is to take photographs and work for a magazine or maybe create my own little business. But I mean, what's life without taking risks, no?
And I'm kinda going to college and getting a degree in that field, so I would think that whatever I major in will probably be my future occupation? xD

I have always believed that as long as you do what makes you the happiest, it's like you'll never work a day in your life. And what Crookshanks said, it's not all about the money c: lol
