I might check in on the forum once a week, but I've well and truly stopped checking the game itself. I couldn't be bothered defriending everyone, so if any of my friends are still collecting gifts, I'd suggest you delete me.

Yeah, I havnt been on in a few weeks, maybe when new figs come out Ill add them to the roster, but its pretty dead.

I too am moving on. We had a good run but it looks like its over. I have playing Clash of Clans and Kingdoms of Camelot (both as mcquist5). If anyone else jumps over to those, let me know, it would be fun to stay connected.

No new figures have been properly released yet. I'd say give it some time for Enchanted Star Strike and Springtime Trigger Happy to be released in the US and hopefully they'll update it again to support these guys.

Even if they do add a few more skylanders to the islands as the physical figures are released, I think it's clear the game is dead and on auto-pilot.

There are many simple small things they could have done - such as making the valentine's building available again during February, or creating a hut for New Year's Countdown like they have for most other alter-egos, but they didn't bother.

If they do suddenly release great new content, then they are fools for remaining silent and letting loyal money-paying players get bored and move on. And whatever else you want to say about Activision, I do not believe they are fools.

I still have a few high-cost companions to get, and a handfull of skylanders who have not yet reached level 15, so I'm not done yet, but I expect my end will come soon too.

I'm out too. Thanks to everyone on this forum for making this game fun to play for a year. But as I've said before, it's been nice to have that time back and I'm pretty sure I'm done with this type of game. And my kids are done with the console games too. So good on you, Activision. You killed the goose that laid the golden egg in my household.

Ummm so what ? Its a free game to download . Even if there is no more content its not a bad game . Play it till you get bored then move on to something else . Main purpose of lost islands is to tickle you to buy more toys or try playing SSA , SG and SSF .

What new content do you want ? Another special skylander hut ? Those islands are only so big. There is no space for a hut , for each and every skylander . Those islands are so small you cannot even have each and every Skylander walking around at the same time .

How many normal console games that we pay 40 - 80 Dollars keep our interest for more than 3 months ?
Those games might have one or two expansions later in the year but thats it for new content .

I have barely played Lost Islands in a while. I might check in once a day, but that's about it. I usually send my Skylanders off for a few hours, hoping to get back to it, but I just don't have the motivation. Even at night, when I normally try to send my Skylanders off before going to bed, I've enjoyed just going to bed without thinking about it. I still have several that need to be leveled up and I have 2 more Skylanders to spin for (though I'll probably give the honor to my son, when I feel like doing it). I'm just in no hurry to get them there. I, too, am glad to have the time back, even though I've started playing another game (Injustice). I have found my interest in finding new figures lacking even more since Lost Islands has practically died as it was a good reason to try to collect them all. It's probably a good thing, though, since I shouldn't be spending my money, anyway. The one thing that I'll miss the most is talking to everyone on here. I've missed that, already, but there really hasn't been much to discuss. Good luck to everyone. I'll still keep checking the forums, probably everyday, since I still check out the Toys & Merchandise threads. So, hopefully, I'll be able to answer any newbies' questions.

Dark fhoenix, the sadness is simply that the game used to be so much more.

Absolutely, with every other game I've ever played, I've simply played until I became bored, then moved on without a second though. This one was different because of the constant changes and new features.

The periodic timed quests made you want to play to complete them in time. Tuesdays were different each week and it was exciting to look forward to them. New content was constantly being added, so when gems went on sale, you were actually willing to spend real money for virtual gems, because you knew that meant something new and desirable was just about to be released, plus, you were happy to spend the money to support such a dynamic free game.

The forum was exciting, because you couldn't do everything and you needed to weigh the odds of different strategies for reaching your goals.

Now, it's just another game. Fun enough to play for a while, then move on. And there's nothing wrong with that - it just isn't on the same level as what it was. If I were to have found the game as it is now when I first started, I would have still had fun with it, but I would never have spent real money, I would never had bought as many physical figures, I would never have joined a forum to discuss the game, and I expect I would have moved on after a few months, instead of being enthusiastic about it for almost a year.

i had kept my ipod touch pretty much solely for this game. im still hanging onto it just for this, what else is on there I can happily get on with without it.

but it feels so hopeless, keeping something for a game that never gets anything new anymore like it used to. it even just came out on android! (unfortunately no windows phone )
and despite this death to this game im still on the edge about selling my ipod, I mean, there is the chance something huge happens, maybe? what if there is an epic update coming tied to skylanders 4? and I can no longer play it.

long story short, I wish someone was clear to us. just say, development has been discontinued, or we are working on something! let the fans know. don't just walk out like this!

My game doesn't have that message... Yet. I would love to have new missions, new content, but most of all I will miss this group. I know I don't know anyone on here but I will miss the humor and the discussions.
I definitely bought more figures because of this game and I don't know how I even feel about getting into a fourth game after this.
Otherwise if there are any other members addicted to tapping I have to say I love seeing familiar names on Simpsons Tapped Out :-) argcallie427
