I've tried looking up the answer and the results are very varied, some saying it works fine and doesn't mess up your game cartridge or system, others saying it screws up everything in your games and the system itself. So uh... which is true? :U

I used one on my DS Lite all the time, and it can cause some really bad glitches if you're stupid. However, I'm pretty sure you can fix most of those glitches by resetting the game progress somehow or using another AR code and in all the years I used mine, it never damaged any of my systems. Basically, it could screw up your game, but for the most part the damage is reversible in some way. I've never heard of an Action Replay actually ruining a DS console. I don't know if that's the same for a DSi.
Illegal 3DS accessories are a whole different ballpark, though.

I'm not really fond with those kinds of things. I believe it's virtually stable enough to run without any problems, after all, some trusted stores sell them. But like computers, they can simply have errors and glitches at any moment.
If you are careful and know what you are doing, I guess you should be fine. |

My Pokemon Diamond is absolutely ruined from it. Glitched textures, inaccessible areas (if they are accessed, it crashes), certain spots on the map cause crashes, etc.
At least it still sorta works..

Thank you all for your input.
I've decided against getting a copy because I really can't risk the game I wanted to use AR on to be corrupted, even if it is unlikely to happen. Thanks again. ;^u^b
