Shigeru Miyamoto recently confirmed the Year of Luigi would end on the 18th March. On that date, the corresponding Miiverse community will be closed as well.

Most likely Yoshi, due to the New Yoshi's Island game, plus the special edition 3DS XL

Yoshi. There's a new game on 3DS and that yarn game will probably be out by the end of the year.

Though really I don't think they're gonna try doing any of that sort of thing this time around.
