So there was a gun threat at school today... [CLOSED]

Seriously, just last week there was pepper spray sprayed in a whole building, and now someone brought a gun today and was threatening to shoot people in one of the buildings ;-;

No. I called my mom during my lunch which was 2 classes before the supposed shooting, and I got picked up. Apparently nothing happened but I'm scared to go tomorrow aswell

They'll probably be prepared after a threat like that, don't worry too much about it, but keep your wits about you.

There was a school shooting 400 meters from where I studied when I was 15. We could hear the shots.
We all had to stay in our classrooms, the guys just listened to the news radio and were really exited while all the girls were absolutely horrified and called their parents and whatnot.

Every single threat imaginable has happened in our school, whether it be bomb threats, gun threats, etc. I haven't been around for half of them, though.

This is occurring way too much at the schools. Do they not have metal detectors? What about security guards? The schools in my area have armed security guards. I don't blame you for being scared. Ask your Mom if you can stay home tomorrow.

Do you go to a private school?

Cause the public school I went to did not have metal detectors. As for security, we had one cop who I doubt was armed with much more than MAYBE a tazer. Even then, that was only in high school did we have the police officer.

No, I finished High School. These are public schools that have armed security guards and metal detectors. The K-9 unit also is brought into the schools due to the drug problem at the schools.

We have security, and an armed cop, no metal detectors. My mom said I can't stay home tomorrow ;-;

Wow. The worst we had was at intermediate we had one guy walk through the school with a machete. We all just thought it was a lockdown drill and then the teachers were like 'nah some kid's older brother came and walked around with a sword'. I don't think we were in any real danger tho, the guy was just being an ass.

None of the schools here have security, other than maybe a few cameras. There's no real need for it.

If I was the princible I would put the school on lock down and have the day off that followed it for the safety of the people inside the building.

I also had a bomb/shooting threat a few weeks ago but you say someone actually brought a gun? That's even worse. Sorry to hear, I hope everyone's okay. I would've been terrified if someone actually brought a gun to school too, even if it was buildings away...
That's dumb that they won't even put the school on lockdown though. Mine was over a written threat, hell I think it still might be and I heard they caught the guy.
