First, let me say I had never heard of Skylanders until right after Christmas when my friends son asked me to hook up his SwapForce game to the Wii. So I wanted to do all my research to find out was available, because he also has a Galaxy Tab 3.
So I started downloading the apps, and since he is SEVEN, I also downloaded a few games so that I could answer his questions when he gets stuck...
Needless to say, he did not like the Lost Islands game, but I DO!!!!
Anyways, I am currently only a level 27, and need friends and advice. My islands are a mess right now, because I have no room to really do any city planning, but I play everyday.
My Activate username is thejazzdiva. Please feel free to add me.
Also, is there a table or list somewhere that tells me how many Hero Points I need for each level? Most of my Skylanders are stuck on 10.

I had a similar story last year after Giants came out. We got it for our kids for their birthday since all the other kiddies got it for Christmas and were talking it up. Lost Islands was lost on my kids, but here I am still posting on this board almost a year later. I have a full friends list, and I'm not consistent with gifting any more so I wouldn't be worth adding but enjoy the game and ask questions!

Ummm . Just be careful when exploring other friends kingdoms . Its the main reason for game crashes . No clue why .
If you make friends enjoy your 40 kudos but stick to just gifting them . Explore your friends kingdoms at your own risk .

At this point in your game things are really chaotic. I'm about to tip over to level 36, and it wasn't until level 35 that I was finally able to go through and clean things up a little bit and get some sort of organization. For now, just go with what works.
Game changing points for me: -getting a skylander of each element. Finally being able to clear the totems was big for me. I didn't have any shrines until maybe level 26 or so, so I relied solely on totems and ma-boo. -getting a sidekick to finally be able to clear chompy pods. -I still don't have a swap character from every element (I'm still missing earth), but that helps a ton in extra gems. -Diggs probably isn't on your radar yet, but it's nice getting a bunch of extra gems every day. -my gem intake didn't actually begin to increase until I got a few of the houses. They were a huge game changer for me. I'm actually getting to the point where I can understand how you can save up 2000 gems for something. I'm not even close to that yet, but it doesn't seem as utterly impossible to me as it did back then. -get the capybara king. Getting the gem with every silver chest and 4 with every gold chest is huge. And who is it that increases the number of chests you get? I'm blanking on him right now. -I wasn't able to sustain my energy level to run sanctuaries every night and missions all day/night until I added sheep topiaries all over the place. I still haven't maxed out my number, but they helped me keep things going. I'm fykerr in activate. Feel free to add me Good luck! |

Oh! Another thread made me remember not to ever buy anything at full price. EVERYTHING goes on sale. At least 25%, usually 50% at some point. There's no reason to pay full price for anything.

Thanks for all the fantastic responses!!!
Thanks lostmudkip, but I had already purchased Ramses, and fortunately I discovered yesterday that when a Skylander gets 28000 hero points, they are upgraded to level 11. I now have a better strategy of assigning adventures and using my HQ and have 16 Skylanders at level 11. Yeah I noticed some difficulty with visiting, I also noticed that sometimes I am not seeing different kingdoms. So I think there is something at issue with the cloud saving, and also with the cache. fykerr - Thanks for the points... After getting burned on the totems early on, I was on a mission to have all the elements represented. Thanks for the tip on the capybara king, i have been putting that one off! I am also working to get all the swaps, but I also needed another giant, which i got the admiral thanks to all my new friends! But I am trying not to keep buying so many gems, so Diggs will have to wait ;(. I did get in the habit of running the dromedelion every night so that I have energy, and leveraging the bonus when planting. Having Beatrees helps a whole heck of a lot! |

You need 175000 hero points to Max out at level 15 for you Skylanders. I just picked Lucky Boomer My last missing Skylander in the wishing well today so am actually taking note of the various hero point level ups. As a general average it takes around 180 stones to get lucky with the major prize in the wishing well so save up stones at the end of the month. Cali was the major prize on my other game where I already had all the skylander specials something to consider down the track.
