You dont need Quigley , My kingdom leveled up just fine without him . Spend your gems on someone better .

Depends on where you are up to and what you need gems for, but I wish I had bought him when he first arrived not a month or so ago. If you have more than say 50 buildings he is well worth it. Anything that saves time and the potential for wasting gems finishing a task early. Beatrees is similarly useful.

What I keep reminding my kids of is that you want to spend gems on things that will get you more gems *first*, and then move on to other companions and items. If you've already got all the gem-generating companions, Quigley is a nice convenience to have. smilie

Cape girl gives you a chance to get more gems . I would choose her over Quigley .

Meanwhile I think cape girl and quigley are both "convenience" companions and I liked the convenience of quigley more, so got him first. Cape girl is pretty great too, though. She drops gems very rarely, so I wouldn't get her for gem generation purposes.
