Plot: Eon holds a race were a shiny gold trophy will be given to the winner, and
 overhears that  intends on going under disguise. The skylanders have to go to many areas were they race there before to make sure doesn't win.Your current skylanders get a cart when they are placed on the portal of power. There are: 16 new characters 8 lightcores 24 reposes 8 "elemental carts" The elemental carts can only be used with a skylander of that element.
