So I've been reading through random posts here and came across one where someone said they'd gotten to lvl 27 in like 62 hours (this was including buying 10 bucks worth of gems). I've been playing for almost two months and am only lvl 26. Now I'm not obsessively playing and growing one minute crops and sending skylanders as frequently as possible to min/max the game. But obviously I must be missing something.

Like I said, I don't obsessively play non-stop, but I open it at least a few times a day and collect and said skylanders out. There's no way I'm ever going to buy gems, though, I've already spent hundreds of dollars on the physical figures and there's no way I'm going to spend any amount within this game--so that's out of the question.

I've got all of my high-xp buildings surrounded by sheep topiary and the rest surrounded by things worth 3%--with a couple other in-betweens from being needed to finish a quest or as a wishin' well reward.

I feel like I'm doing well enough with what I've been given, but if there's advice out there on what I can improve it'd be much appreciated.

--also, if someone could tell me how to remove friends to replace them with active people that'd be much appreciated, too.

$10 worth of gems, to me that could be 2-3k worth of gems or more. If you purchased the right companions, yeah you would level up very quick. Specially if they purchased the companions at 50% off and shrines at 75 gems (like my daughter did). Now level 27 in 62 hours..........hrmmmmm, that sounds like time travel was involved. I played non-stop without time travel but I had my sons skylanders downloaded (about 30-40 of them) for free so that helped a lot. Also spent about $5 initially but it took at least 3 weeks before getting that far. I remember it well because level 27 is when I unlocked that dragon that allowed me to level characters past level 10.

To remove friends on an idevice you click on the little activate symbol on the right when you click on your Kudos. Then if you scroll down to your current friends it will have an arrow and list them in order of their last log in. Click on them and at the bottom of the next screen it will say remove friend. Hit that and then you have removed them.

As far as android. I have no idea.

That was my post. My wife hit level 27 in three days (72 hours). It was $12 worth of gems and she started immediately before the 50% off companion weekend so she did take advantage of that. So with 1800 gems, every released Skylander and too much time on our hands we were playing fairly obsessively for those thre days. By the end of the week she had every companion, alt, and house.

Between us we were doing the 45 second adventures and the shortest crops for about 16 hours a day. So, yeah, obsessive play was involved.

I understand the desire to avoid spending any money on the game. I started that way. I've been playing for over a year and eventually gave in to the temptation to spend a few bucks. I was realistic when my wife started that she would do so as well eventually, so knowing about the 50% weekend I decided to give her a bit of a leg up to start.

As hard as it is to believe, no time travel was used.

She hit level forty recently after two months of play. She has one quest remaining since the stage pays out so erratically.

Wow! I've been playing for like 7 months now and am still at 33! Way to go!

I'm sure it took me at least that long too, but all the new content and a prior understanding of the game made it much, much faster for her.

I actually completely ran out of game today, when my 129th skylander hit level 15 this morning. I truly have nothing to do now but collect gold, gems, etc.
