Since the Hunters/esses have been around for nearly a year now (if I'm remembering correctly, I tend to mix years up nowadays), how was your experience with us?
This isn't supposed to be about just me, but all the moderators in general.
Have they improved the site?
What things do they need to work on?

HIR is a terrible mod who doesn't do a gosh darn thing. It's laughable that dark put him in charge of 2 dead boards and Forum Games, which is mostly one-word or one-sentence posts. He always deletes my posts and gives long-winded explanations that don't make any sense. And he's always yelling at me to announce my returns in the leaving/returning thread, but I wanna make topicz about it. He needs to learn how to lock topics too. And he actually uses the "Report" button on Stuff & Nonsense. Who does this guy think he is? Fire this guy, dark, and then ban him plz. Jeez. >.>

Well to be more in detail.
I know that SpyroD has phone issues, but I think he should get something more stable to the internet so he can do all things mod are able to do. And he should check his sections out more often, like JCW or Waka. Instead of having users always have to come to him. And yeah he should just check out more threads in his sections to prevent user irritation and such.
It'sJustMe and Gillgrunt, they are never active. Not to mention all the rule breaking GillGrunt has done. Honestly I think GillGrunt is quite young and just isn't taking his job seriously enough. As for JustMe he's just never active and doesn't do anything as far as I know. They probably need to be replaced.
But you know we could have been stuck with worse (not mentioning any names here), but I think that's what they should improve on.

^ Wild, I'm sort of the same way as you, in that I'm not not perfect. I'm the most imperfect person I can think of. I knew that before that I became a mod that I wasn't that popular (come on, who knew JCW555 before I became mod). I think I gained my popularity on here because I am a moderator, and not due to my quality of posts, and the fact that I'd been on dS for nearly a year before I became a moderator. I personally can be close to people here if I wanted to, but I'd feel like I'd be preferential to different users over others. One of my worst habits, and I'm trying to break out of it, and that is that I'm very reactionary. I admit, I've closed topics due to this, but I've seen the error of my ways and have tried my damnedest to change that. I also censor myself here, even though I still swear on here, but I'm always afraid that if I said something stupid or did something really idiotic, I'd lose my job here. Here I'm seen as a role model (hopefully, sort of ) but you know that type of pressure can get to me. Restricting myself in what I can say is not a part of my M.O. on here. However, I think I do this to maintain people's perception of me and my reputation. When I applied to be a mod, I thought I had no chance in Hell (heh, WWF/WWE reference ) to have ever had the chance to get a moderator position. I was shocked and stunned when I received a PM form dark52 that I was accepted. I was genuinely at a loss for words. After I could talk again, I accepted the job, and have always striven to be the best moderator I could be. I also thought I was the luckiest SOB to have been chosen to be a mod. I agree with Wild that better communication from staff to users could help this community a lot.

In the same vein, for some reason I find myself censoring myself. I think before I post, and if I wasn't a moderator, I probably would be far more "risky" in my behaviour. Out of all communities I've been a moderator on, it's this one that I'm acting like this on. I aim to post as often as I always did, but my posts are different due to being in a higher position of responsibility instead of being jut a rather popular and generally liked person. I think this is a good thing, really. It's still me, I'm not censoring as much as you think, but I've just become more self-aware of where I am in the community.
I don't like restrictions, I mean if you knew of my ideology, you may be surprised that I'm even in a position of power. When moderator applications started, I wasn't sure about applying, and the thought of moderators being added made me want to leave. I love this community, and at that time I thought that...I just didn't want it to change, y'know? I thought that something terrible would come out of moderators...in the end, I did apply, I heard that people thought I would be good at it, and went "eh why not". I had a lot of doubt that I would gain a place on the team. A lot of it. 200+ people applied? Wow, that made it a very small chance that I would become moderator, really. I've complained about dark52 in the past, I was an active participate in the whole "RP SECTION NEEDS MODS" (irony there, eh), and I ended up lucky.
Yeah, that's what I'm calling it: luck. It's the most reasonable response, really, I think.
I'm not criticizing any of the other moderators with the rambly crap I just vomited into the "your comment" box, I'm purely speaking about myself and reflecting upon it. I don't think I should be followed as an example, or anything like that.
However, I'll say this: I think we could all benefit from better communication with staff and regular users. That's the failing of the staff team on many sites, and is something this site has experienced with a lot in the past.

Bionicle and Matteomax are more active in the Skylander sections, as they moderate them.
Y'all are doing a good job.
That explains why I said "somewhat sure" Because I don't know if they were doing okay in those sections or not.
Uh, Matteomax isn't technically a mod for Skylanders boards. <.<;
I'm just a GIGANTIC nerd for them.
Anyway, I've been trying as hard as possible to correct my idiotic mistakes from before, and I've been getting used to this. I always think twice before deleting a post.
I hope you guys can understand that I've gone through some tough times in life, and video games, the internet, and this site specifically have brightened my mood and picked me up from the past times.
