I'd like to see foregone hot dog with the same bronze coat and a pearl bone. I am guessing they'll do something with a new core figure instead of a repose though. A swappers would be nice but more expensive to just give away.

I doubt it will be a swapper or repose. If it IS a repose, I say it would be a chrome/gold/pearl Terrafin. He is popular and I don't think he has a chase variant yet.
I think it would be either Star Strike, Smolderdash, or Zoo Lou, that would be E3 variants. They are all well-liked and seem fit for a variant.

I was thinking a Metallic Red Slobber Tooth for Toy Fair, and a Chrome Gold Fryno for E3.

Well there doesn't seem to be any pattern on how they choose figures. (except that the elements are different)
Toy Fair will likely be a metallic variant. My money is on another original character who got a repose. Probably Eruptor or Terrafin. E3 will likely have a "color shift" figure since that seems to be the new motif. I'd consider Spyro a contender but since they already used him, perhaps something like Pop Thorn or Wind Up. Pop Thorn would be my pick as he's got that one upgrade in game that makes him sort of a metallic looking color. Alternatively, anything on Dune Bug would be sweet. Personally, I don't think we'll see a Swapper as an special figure although who knows. Wash Buckler would be unlikely, but Blast Zone could be cool.

I'd like a non-metallic variant, there have been tons of metallic ones lately and they aren't that cool. Another translucent one would be neat, or even a flocked one.

Gold Pop Thorn would be ideal since it's my Sky Diamond money making machine.

Hmph, now I have about 10 different ideas.
Maybe a Crystal Rainbow Horn Blast Whirlwind? THAT would be amazing if they could pull it off.

As long as it's a figure from Swap Force so I can have another figure for an alternate path I'll be happy.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed. |

It'd be cool if at some point they made a variant that had a different element... maybe like a Lava Rubble Rouser that was fire element and had molten rock effects added to his boulder attacks.

I guess I mostly just want to see.something a little creative. I don't want to see any clears because e e that's just sticking a clear plastic in the mold. I'd be surprised if they go that way since they've done it before has done it a ton. Don't want to see one that looks like they dumped a can of gold/silver paint on it. That said, red metallic sounds rather interesting.

I would like to see translucent black stink bomb with white paint that makes him look like a skunk in real life. I would name him Stinky. Now would that be cool?

I noticed a pattern in the exclusive figures. One year it was cynder and spyro. They are both classic spyro characters. For last year it was chop chop and hot dog. They were both in battle packs. So there must be a relation between the E3 and Toy Fair variants. Not likely....... But Maybe.

Maybe a blue glow-in-the-dark or an orange glow-in-the-dark , since there aren't any differently-coloured glow-in-the-dark Skylanders.

I remember hearing somebody looking into the files of the game and reported a Wind Up variant in the disc files called VVwindup or something. Leads me to believe that could be either a variant at some kind of event or most likley because of the VV tag, an employee edition.
