Not a bad deal if you're missing some older figs. I honestly haven't seen any SSA stuff in a while at my local store, although they have a lot of the adventure packs. Probably couldn't hurt picking those up and squirreling them away for a rainy day. I'd imagine the stock will have to be depleted at some point.

This works out great! I need Wrecking Ball, but didn't want to spend $26 on a triple pack to get him. I'm down with $10.

Lol they show the legendary bash in the background just to get peoples hopes up!!! But they did do a rerelease of the other bash triple pack, They're showing with chop chop and eruptor which I've seen a lot of.

My Toys R Us was loaded with these the other day (no legends) I was wondering how they were planning to unload them.

I actually found (and bought) both Boomer triple packs at my local tru a month or so back. Sold the other to my friend

I guess I'll take a swing by TRU in the morning and see what I can find.

No, sadly Darklight Cyrpt was in the casepack earlier. The casepacks at true only have Dragons Peak, Pirate Seas and Empire of Ice.

This sucks. I just bought Slam Bam and Terrafin singles the other day at a used game store. Now TRU throws this on me and I am going to be able to get them for 10?!? Geeeez.

Our store has had lots of the SSA adventure and triple packs. Never have gotten a Boomer triple, though. I've even seen the cases opened up and nothing. I didn't realize the Zap triple was getting hard to find. Our store had them hanging around for months. It was the only triple pack they carried until before Black Friday when they started getting tons of SSA stuff in. Since then, I haven't paid much attention. I've just been skimming through for a Boomer pack. I don't know what I'd do if I found one, as we don't have the money, anyway. My son just spent all his Christmas money on getting new swappers last week. I do have an extra SSA triple pack that came in a backpack we got our son. He didn't need any of the characters, but the backpack was marked down. I figured we could probably sell it, especially at the time since it was hard to find SSA stuff, but I never got around to it. It's the Drobot/Flameslinger/Stump Smash triple, so not one that's hard to find. Even when the triple was hard to find, the singles of those were hanging around. Too bad I couldn't figure out a way to trade it. I guess if I knew I could flip it for $10 easily, I would just sell pick up Boomer and make up the money by selling it. Doesn't matter, I guess, since our store never gets them.

I flipped when I found the boomer triple. I've seen 6 of them total at 2 different TRU in the 2 months.

All I need for SSA is boomer,zap and zook, so hopefully I come across something good this weekend.

Wish TRU would run this promotion for the Giants series Triple Packs, too. Not because I really need any of the characters, but because it would help to clear out their absurd backstock of lame Triple Packs that nobody buys (Sonic Boom, Sprocket, Stump Smash pack, for example).

If the supply of those packs finally goes down, maybe TRU would eventually stock the long overdue Giants Triple Packs that include Bash and Spyro and Slam Bam.

No lie. That particular triple pack has been hanging on my TRUs pegs for over a year in great quantities.

But although I exclusively purchased SSA triple packs (because of the savings), I refused to purchase even one SG or SSF triple pack. I have no use for a re-posed figure. It ticks me off that I have to get a re-posed figure with the battle packs.

The Giants legendary triple pack is available online at the moment and qualifies for ten bucks off if you purchase forty dollars or more. Now if only they would ship to Canada :'(

Weren't the SG triples $10 before Black Friday? I remember trying to get the Legendary triple and Empire of Ice when they had them for $10 and B1G1.

I ended up buying Dragon's Peak this morning. Now I just have Wham-shell and Darklight Crypt left to buy to complete my SSA collection. I saved the most expensive for last...

It sucks how some Characters were so plentiful and some they barely made any. I've gone to tons of stores on dozens of occasions and i've only seen 1 Wham Shell ever, also s2 bash and Zook, no idea when they came out but have never seen them. Very frustrating as I'm not paying 50+ on eBay for a regular figure.

We kind of did it to ourselves. All of the currently "rare" ones used to be shelf warmers. Dragon's Peak, Empire of Ice, Camo/Warnado 3 pack were once hard to come by. Darklight Crypt, Bash and Boomer littered shelves. So when they went to remake some at the end for the last shipments for SSA they stuffed them with the ones people couldn't find and left out the overstocked ones. They aren't going to re-run SSA anymore, there isn't enough money in it and stores already have to clearance out most of that - hence the $10 sale. Wham Shell has always been hard to come by, but now he has a Lightcore that seems to be out in great numbers so I guess they figure they have him covered.

We told them we didn't want any more Darklight Crypts or Boomers, and they listened! Except for Whirlwind, always been a shelf warmer and they keep putting out more. Guess they named her a "headliner" for air so they have to keep her up to date. I'm hoping the reposes not moving (and three packs, since they have two) convinces them to further diminish the reposes down to maybe one per element and a couple lightcores next time. Make Ghost Roaster and Boomer a lightcore, and repose the "main" eight (Spyro, Prism Break, Gil Grunt, etc.) and make the rest new guys.

Also if your going to do 3 packs and have to have a repose in it, make it one repose and not two. The spyro swap triple should have been say spyro in the middle, countdown and zou lou. The pop fizz one should been smolderdash/popfizz/slobbertooth etc.

These are not moving because no one wants two figures they have already.

I went to TRU a few days ago to check for SWI...Nothing doing...but they were loaded to the brim with SSA triples and adventure packs. Went today just now and if they moved more than 1 or 2 of the large amount of them since then I would be surprised.

Reposes/Re-releases of the same character for Giants/Swap Force has destroyed the sellability of the SSA characters. Only the very rare person that wants each version of every character or that is just collecting for SSA would be interested in those packs. There's absolutely no logical reason to buy, for example, a S1 Whirlwind character when you can find sales on giants singles all the time if yer patient. They mainly destroyed the sellability of S1's by not allowing you to unlock heroics with them in Giants...making them less valuable and reposes more valuable. Any player that said to himself right now "I want them all, but only 1 of each" or "I'd like to buy Whirlwind" is going to wait for the sale on giants or swap re-poses since they have more in-game value in Giants. Heck, I would for sure. And anyone that wanted this many characters is going to be aware of the heroics issue sans the ones that ONLY played SSA. Oh, and dare I mention "Wow pows"....When you can find sales for the Giants characters in the $3-5 range this sale has very little chance.

They dug their own grave on this one by devaluing them on their own accord.

Adventure packs will move, though. They actually hold more value due to the bonus level and magic items.

Finally did the math, and I made out extremely well. As I mentioned earlier, I bought 3 Adventure Packs, and 3 Triple Packs, but the Wrecking Ball Triple Pack was the only new item. I already had the 3 Adventure Packs; and the 6 figures that are in the other Triple Packs, I already had in Single Packs. Luckily, they were all unopened, and I kept the receipts. Plus, I was able to price reduce 2 other Triple Packs that i purchased a few days ago.

So after all the purchases, priced reductions, and returns, my end result is: Wrecking Ball Triple Pack + $57.10 back on my credit card.

Anecdotally (to be disregarded) evidence as promised, from last night's visit to TRU:

If more than 15% of the inventory of the 3-packs/adventure packs that was out last week moved for this ten bucks deal....then either they pulled out more stock from the back, or my eyes are going really bad. It's almost ALL still there at my local TRU. Looks like anyone jumping on board for the first time now is going to be seeing some crazy good deals on the typical shelf-warmers.

I saw this, but I picked up a damaged Free Ranger for 9.90+tax=10.63.
They also had single SSA packs for 40% off. (I don't remember if it was bogo 40% off, or just plain 40% off)
