I've heard a lot of people hear say how they have been allowed to go through boxes of Skylanders at Kmart, Target, Walmart, and ToysRUs and they've found some Chase figures or have picked the best paint job. I'm going to ToysRUs tomorrow to spend some credit I have from my Rewards R Us card that expire Wednesday and was wondering how it occurred. Did you ask an associate, manager? Did you know the associate/manager well? Did they just offer when you asked about a product? Did they let you go in the back or take them out? If I don't find much I'd at least like to get some Spyros Adventure figures I don't have or some of the Giants I'm missing.

But really, it's just a matter of catching a friendly employee in the R Zone when they aren't busy with other customers. That whole "you catch a lot more flies with honey" bit. I usually go in during the weekdays when they aren't busy and they know me there. Tell them you're a collector looking for one with a good paint job to keep in the box. Ask if they could bring out what they have. Usually I have no problems with them bringing out the boxes of what they have, though usually it's not more than one or two boxes cause it's new stuff. Sort through them without making a mess and thank them a lot.

I remember when I first read on here that people were getting wave 3 at Target and I immediately called at about 9pm to ask if they had gotten them. The electronics guy at the time went to check and said yes he had 3 boxes of skylanders sitting in a cart in the back waiting to be stocked. I drove there, they weren't busy, asked the guy nicely if I could pick some out. He brought the cart out and I went through the 3 boxes. Not hard. It really comes down to being nice, explaining why, and how busy they are. Good luck!

Edit: I also had mentioned that Stink Bomb was the one I had been waiting for all year and how excited I was to get it just after Xmas since it was all I wanted. I have also been told by BOTH my brother and my boyfriend that I have an easier time with the employees because I'm a young girl and the employees always tell me I have a great smile, and they all happen to be guys. I dunno? Take it for what it's worth hahahaha.

I usually just ask pretty nicely, but I usually get turned down unless there happens to be a case out on the floor (either sitting out ready to be put out or on the top shelf). I went to TRU this past Friday and saw the cases of new swappers on the top shelf. I asked the lady working back there if they had the new ones and she said no. She even knew which ones they were and said that they probably had Spy Rise left (which I had seen 2 of on the pegs). I then went back to check the cases I saw on the shelf and saw that they were indeed the wave 3 swappers just by reading the description on the box. I then asked about those and she said they were older figures. I had to explain to her that they were indeed wave 3 and how I knew that. She finally agreed to open one and sure enough they were the new ones. They had several cases up there and she was probably telling people they were sold out. I stopped by, yesterday, and a lady had about 10+ cases of them sitting on a cart not counting the ones that were still sitting on the top shelf). I doubt she would let me go through them all if I had wanted to . The same went for Christmas time when they had lots of cases of giants sitting on the top shelf. The thought did cross my mind at one time that there could be a chase variant in one of those, but even if I had the extra money to spend, I don't think I would want to ask if I could go through them all.

Well I'm in a wheel chair and get mistaken for "miss" because of my disease and how it stumped my growth and voice deepening, plus everyone thinks I'm 12 even though I'm 22. So it might become laughable if I send my 4 lb therepy dog and 11 Sister to attack haha!

I have also been so excited for Stink Bomb! When I saw him at Target two days before release day I almost died haha! I will try all of this as I am about to go right now. I might chicken out but hopefully I get lucky and find some stuff on the shelves! Also I'll ask again about the Special Edition Gill Grunt just to see if there is anything new, it's getting closet to the 18th
