Question About Purple Eye-Brawl [CLOSED]

So I purchased a Metallic Purple Eye-Brawl on eBay and it came today. I'm actually not sure if it's legit, it kind of looks fake. The back of the box is also coming off a bit. That doesn't bother me because I got a really good deal on it, but it will bother me if it's fake. Is there any way to tell if it's an authentic variant? Am I correct that if it is authentic it will show up as "Special?" Another concern of mine is that the seller is selling another Purple Eye-Brawl.

That's weird? Do you mind telling how much he's selling it for? That might tell if he's buying them and making a profit. How about pics?

It says rare in SWAP Force, so you should try him out there first. If he shows up as Special in SWAP Force, he's either a one-of-a-kind error, or an obvious fake where someone hacked apart a Pumpkin Eye Brawl and put that chip inside a regular Eye Brawl, then painted.

Either way, you should send it back to the seller. He deserves negative feedback for not packing it correctly.

Will still be checking the forums every now and then!

Yeah I got a Punch Pop Fizz in a single pack from Amazon and the sides of the plastic was bubbly like it was melted, and my Molten Hot Dog and LC Pop Fizz I got from there too was coming apart so I tried to super glue it but it's still messed up smilie I wish I knew how to fix them.... But yeah do you have pics or links to the seller to see what you mean by fake.

I don't blame you for being concerned!

Can you post a picture so we can see how accurate the coloring looks like?

If that is the one he says it shows up Rare and Special in the proper games but the pictures are really shady haha! You can barley see the Eyebrawl because of the darkness and glare, plus he shows the bottom and the crease in more detail... It's good to show the flakes but if I'm paying one hundred something dollars for something is like some close ups and better pics. If that's not yours people should be cautious with this one...

It's a little difficult for someone to match the metallic paint...VERY difficult to fool the game with a custom chip. If you meant to get the character cheaply, getting it with a banged up box is just fine. I've had a couple of cheaper chase variants arrive in banged up boxes...even considered opening it. The market for these things have been consistently declining...so I would just take it out and enjoy it.

That's a good point. I know if I ever find a Pearl/Glitter Hot Head I'm not going to open it, ever. The thing is though, I know someone is going to say how much I could get for it online, and it's good to remember that in tough times, but some things are worth more than money in a way. Some kid might have a Stuffed bear his mom gave him before she passed away. It could be the first official teddy bear worth thousands but to the kid it has more meaning and therefore priceless. I know it's a lot different than a gift from a mother that passed on but you get the idea. We're not on earth long, we might as well enjoy it, right? It's also good to save for the future, but we don't know what the future holds..

Well, for me these are just plastic toys...for me the value is the chase and being able to play with them. I like stuff in boxes too, but I don't have hang ups about opening them either. It is cool to see a chase variant on the portal of power out of box. I'm able to open up exclusives with no problem...might as well upgrade to chase stuff. smilie
