Tried to search here but came up empty. Is their an official Variant List (In-Game and not), Special Edition, Rare List somewhere? Just curious.

Couldn't have said it any better.

For those who have Purple Eye-Brawl and the Halloween Pumpkin Eyebrawl, or Sparkle Sonic Boom and GITD Sonic Boom - are they simply labelled 'Special' in the game, or are they differentiated ie. Special 1, Special 2? Or can you only ever collect 1 'Special' variant of any Skylander, and a second one doesn't add to your total?

I assume all Skylanders have an optional 'Special' tag implemented in Swap Force and Giants, allowing Activision to produce variants and chase variants without worrying about having them pre-programmed in-game.

There is a "Rare" tag.
Purple Eye-Brawl is "Rare", Pumpkin Eye-Brawl is "Special".
