Dr Who, Pokemon, wrestling, basketball, football(both), food, etc.

The games themselves are not bad, it's just the fanbase. My way of getting around that is just muting everyone in the game when the match starts.

Well, I'd list things that I like, but I don't consider them overrated.

Well, I put overrated in quotes for a reason. I have my own thoughts about the term, basically that "overrated" is a matter of opinion. People are more likely to list the "overrated" things they don't like, because the term itself is surrounded by so much negativity, and bias, already.

I'm probably not picking up on a witty joke or something here.

To respond seriously, that's not true - FPS is probably one of my least favourite genres, but not because FPS games are inherently bad or anything. It's just the genre that is the most stagnant, I feel. I can probably count the FPS I really, really like on one hand. Maybe two if I try hard! If it means anything, I actually enjoy Killzone: Shadow Fall quite a bit, and might check out the rest of the series some day.
