Hello all, i have went to skylanders day today!
I went with my 2 brothers, and we got 160$ worth of skylanders merchandise.
They let us have 8 sidekicks!! I guess theres no limit.
My gamestop only had Gill Runt,Trigger Snappy,and all the giants sidekicks!
I got gill runt and barkley and then the otheres went to my brothers.
I got the DARK starter pack also.
Did not see Wave 3 though...

Also forgot to mention they offered us 3 posters? One for me and m 2 brothers, but it was unnecessary so i took 2 only.
Why would they give so many if its first 25 people only?

Must have been nice to have the SA sidekicks. My Gamestop only offered the Giants sidekicks.

My local gamestop didn't receive even 1 box of wave 3. I don't need them but the manager was frustrated with it. Also Fyi--the portal thing is for today only. They are going to be destroyed. The motivation is to get people to upgrade to swap force.

Pardon me? I didn't even get any figures besides a lightcore Flashwing and Lava Barf Erupter. How does that make me a scalper?
the only "new" figure (As in not resposed) was a Barkley and that is it. (They had only giantkicks)

The manager at the Gamestop I went to claimed they didnt know what was going to be done with the portals. Can I ask who verified this to you? Are they going to be shipped back to Activision for destruction or are they just going to get dumped in the back dumpster at the end of the week? Frankly I'd love to get a bunch of extra portals for doing some custom work. If the Gamestops are just going to throw them out with the trash I'd rather give some of them a good home and make things with them.

Well if Gamestop is just going to trash the portals I guess it's not a big deal that I didn't bring mine in today. I'll just throw it in my own garbage to get rid of it.

The managee told me. All info he has given me has been 100% accurate. He actually told me the name of company where they are being shipped to --to be destroyed. So--no dumpstee option. Sorry

Oh well. Given the method of the trade-in too, they likely need to ship off the exact number on the books. Oh well. No, Snowglobes and Music boxes for me to putz around with.

The skylander day I didn't expect much as it did seem kind of disappointing. I just bought a tower of time for myself since it was 20 bucks and got a sidekick. I saw a s2 pop fizz but his box was stapled and 1 star strike lightcore. I passed on both for now.

Most likely they'll bring the promotion back to push more of the skylanders through than just a day.

Oh that really sucks. They should just sell them really cheap....talking about the portals.
Surprises me, but then i guess it makes sense since they dont take ANY skylander related items for trade in.

I agree, wish my store had the SA sidekicks. I have all the giantkicks and bought the starter pack for my ps4 since I bought the kids the dark edition on release. needed the original versions. Thought i would only get 1 of the sidekicks as I did one transaction but she said I could do three for the amount of money I spent. So my kids got three doubles of the sidekicks. I only have whisper stealth elf of the SA sidekicks so would have been nice to get the other three of them.
