I always wondered why they had to make the poses so bland. After they announced series 2 characters, I thought they were saving the good poses as another incentive for buying the same character again, but they didn't turn out much better. For SWAP Force, they shook it up a little, with Big Bang Trigger Happy, Scorp, Trap Shadow, and Stink Bomb, but they are still not very exciting. There are plenty of easy ways to improve the figure's pose, for example, Zoo Lou could be riding mid-boar or Grilla Drilla could be beating his chest. I understand with the swappers because they have to swap, but seriously, why the boring, standard poses?

Well, Zoo Lou because he is a S1, and most S1 are bland.

I dont understand why they put S3 cynder on her base practically sideways so you either display her facing forward but the skull on the base sideways or the skull on the base facing forward but her facing sideways

I noticed that they seem to be focusing on expressions more than poses.
For example. Take Wind-Up(and I'm not trying to say he sucks or anything... He's my new favourite). Nice goofy expression... Horribly safe pose. Same with Scorp, and aforementioned Zoo Lou. It seems the opposite way around with a few... Like all the SWAP Force... Core Smolderdash also has a great pose but nearly as little expression on her face as Kristen Stewart :/ Grim Creeper's pose- all three- have a decent dynamic flow but the actual figures are clearly trying to have goofy expressions, but because of the way the figure looks in a 3D environment it only looks right from a few angles. It looks terrible from any other angle because his face then seems too odd. Also Dune Bug has like the worst figure ever. I haven't seen it in person so I don't know how the paint looks but it doesn't excuse such a boring and uninteresting pose. It has no personality, it's not dynamic, and it's just ugly. It seems like be was "made" well having seperate clear mold for his wings as well as special paint, but the pose is just terrible. Looking pretty and having that paint and clear wings isn't enough, EVERYTHING "looks pretty" nowadays. Boom Jet actually seems to do both decent though- his pose is dynamic and he shows actual expression! And his paint does the job. I think many of the SF figures are just sub-par. None of them stand out. And as a result, such a "just good" toy stands out for doing all the stuff the rest of the figures lack in some respect! I'm not alone in thinking that, am I?

The designers are limited by many factors: durability (as some children are pretty rough with the toys), mass apeal, and what will fit in the package. I saw a really cool chop chop pose that was abandoned because his sword did not fit within the dimensions.

A more durable toy at the cost of being a itty bitty more boring is fine by me .

Now.. Look at this. Compare S2 Gill Grunt to Anchors Away Gill Grunt.
S2 Gilly has a great pose, but Anchors Away? Looks very bland. They run out of ideas.. What can ya say?

Do these figures have wires running within them?
I would assume that this is a big issue too. However,

Well I for one am OK with and 's poses, but that's also true that some of the poses were pretty generic this game. I do know some good ideas they can do for the next game like if some characters return to the next from Swap Force like performing her spin kick spinning around attack, could be performing his jump attack while flying, somehow give the illusion that is going into his ghost form and even riding his motorcycle.

Well, the poses tend to give an indication of where they are in the series. Series one is standard, what they look like when you put them on at level 1. Series two tends to be what they look like fully powered up, and kind of reference their special ability. Series three references their new look/wow pow 2.

I love Pop Fizz. He and Spyro were my main guys in Giants and the first two I leveled up to the cap. But Im not a huge fan of the Mega Ram horns and especially the Mega Gulp design.... Its way too light, and Pop Fizz's nails aren't painted, plus is backpack straps are missing. I wish they could of had his monster side as the character or spyro having fireballs shooting out or running fast like he's going to ram, that would be cool!
