None were very hard... they were all easy to get 100% on (minus Shadow Legacy and ANB due to the RPG-Style storylines and gameplay).

ANB and SL: Complete... I'm pretty sure I got bored of it and just kept leveling up and learning new things.

Somewhat...

Then again, how long have you had it? I've beaten it over 100 times on the DS and GCN in the last 5 months. <.<

I'm bored of ANB now so why should I bother trying to complete it more when there are tons of other cheapish games that I can play? I'm really into Okami now and it is like 20x longer than ANB! If you don't believe me, look at a walkthrough for it:

Most of the games are actually pretty easy... although Spyro 5 and 6 (A Hero's Tail and A New Beginning) are the opposite: they are brutal.

A New Beginning is often listed as very easy... but technically, it is on-par with A Hero's Tail in terms of deaths. Both games kick your behind countless times.

However, although both games ARE challenging, both games do suffer from their respawn system ; both games give you infinite lives and have an extremely (read: way too much) forgiving waypoint system.

Heck! In both games, the game saves IN-BETWEEN boss phases! I mean, geez!

But if you ignore this and think in terms of basic, old-school "no deaths" mechanics, A New Beginning is actually VERY hard. Foes come in large numbers, do loads of damage, and can surround you ridiculously quickly. Spyro has no blocking ability, cannot take much punishment, the strafing is slow and useless considering the enemy speed, and the breath ability require constant green gems feeding (and even then, you can't truly fully rely on it). Bosses are incredibly large, do grotesquely huge amounts of damage, and take massive amounts of abuse before calling it a day.

So, ironically, although A New Beginning IS easy to finish, the difficulty is actually very high. It's just that since the penalty for dying is, well, non-existent, people will still breeze through despite the high difficulty.

Try just for fun to do a no-deaths game or to switch the game to Arcade mode if playing the DS version (the other versions should had it too) THEN tell me the game is too easy.

Apart from my rant on A New Beginning...

Worth noting here is Spyro Season of Ice and Spyro 4 (Enter the Dragonfly). Of the Spyro games where you can get a game over, Spyro 4 is probably the easiest alongside Season of Ice... however, both games have artificial difficulty boosting. Enter the Dragonfly has glitches all over the place so although the levels are short and simple, getting anywhere without the glitches getting in the way is a feat in itself. As for Season of Ice, it is even more of a ridiculous collect-a-thon than any of the old-school games ever were, forcing you to hunt for every single item... and considering the levels are full of identical-looking intersections and that there's no map, it becomes very tedious very quickly.

So... overall, I would place A Hero's Tail and A New Beginning on top of the list. Season of Ice and Enter the Dragonfly get high places due to design flaws and bad programming respectively. The rest of the serie is relatively easy.

That was my opinion. Have a nice day.
