Okay, I'm not here to question whatever desicions you might've already made and I'm sure your family has already taken these things into consideration, but..
Has your dog ever had another dog to share his territory with before?
German Shepherds are very dominant and can be violent towards strange dogs if they're not introduced when they're young.
So the most important thing before getting another dog for your dog to play with is to see if they get along. In case you haven't tried that, you really should.

Also, as you probably know, German Shepherds require a ton of exercise. Two of them require even more. They shed a lot of fur and generally have a lot of health problems. And they probably will get violent with each other at times because they're both male, especially if they don't get the exercise they require.

Or course, all this is assuming you know where these dogs are from. If you don't know who bred these dogs and what problems they might have it's probably better not to get one to find out.

But anyway, it's opinions you were after so I'll vote for whichever dog your dog get's along with better.
