Isn't Jade Fire Kraken a Chinese dragon? And if so, then my guess would be a Chinese new year release which I think occurs later this month.

And releasing two variants that close? Not a good plan

Anyways, yes, Jade Fire Kraken is a chinease Dragon. In fact, he looks alot like this:


See! I compared the Chinease Dragon Lion with Fire Kraken and I did that also with the Chinease Dragon Snake:



All three are very simmilar, now, if everything of this was green.. Well... I think you know what I'm trying to say

I doubt that there will be a wave 6. There never has been.

I wouldn't doubt that they hold back one, ala Lightcore Hex or S2 Drobot (probably Nitro Freeze Blade because he has no apparent holiday). I could also see that happening to LightCore WhamShell [] or Horn Blast Whirlwind.

I doubt that there will be a wave 6. There never has been.

There's also never been this many figures. We have 8 more than last year, that's enough to compose an extra wave.

In a few weeks there are the winter olympics in sochi, Russia. Nitro Freeze Blade is a golden Ice Skater.

Ok, I will spell it out. lesty has provided many, many early tips that turned out to be completely accurate about upcoming releases. Last time he did it a whole bunch of people got really upset that some Target minimum wage stockers did not take Skylanders releases as deadly serious as they did and couldn't find them, and therefore exploded about how "bad Target was" and as a result lesty. No one outright said that, but the undercurrent was there. If I were him, I would have said forget this, they can figure these things out their own dang selves when they find them on the shelves. I, like many others really appreciate that he takes the time and to be completely honest, job risk of letting us know these things. Others apparently did not.

What exactly will waves 5 and 6 consist of? It seems like the last of the figures will be out in wave 4.

As, there's only 3 swaplanders left, a couple of corelanders and the remaining series 2/3 and the last lightcore. Which is tantamount to a regular wave.

I would guess:
Springtime Trigger Happy around Easter (he is decorated like an Easter egg)- April 20 (like the Chill Easter release last year)
Nitro Freeze Blade- Released with regular Freeze Blade (Nitro Magna Charge was released with regular Magna Charge)
Enchanted Star Strike March 1 (Like Molten Hot Dog last year)

As far as jade fire kraken is concerned, has there been anything in the ads for this week to support that release date? That would be in 3 days from now.

Nitro freeze blade I'm going to guess sometime around february tbh since of what he is and it is a time needed for a variant soon

I'm just going to go out on a whim here and say Jade Fire Kraken will be released the same time that Jade Flashwing was. I don't think it will have anything to do with the Chinese New Year and it's just a coincidence that they are using Fire Kracken to do the Jade thing with this year. Only time will tell but there hasn't been even a teeny bit of evidence for a CNY JFK.

It just seems fairly illogical to assume there'll be waves post wave 4 (unless we're assuming they're planning on re-releasing a new batch of the old stuff under the pretense of a "new wave").

Wave 4 will probably not be the rest of them. It never has been so far. Last year we got a Wave 5 with a single new figure, Drobot S2 (and LC Hex, if you count that since it was pushed to the SF release). Wave 5 the year before was Warnado and Camo, with Wham Shell offset by a couple weeks (and the reverse in Australia). I would be fairly certain they will hold a couple back for Wave 5. It keeps people paying attention to the franchise for a couple more months.

Infinity 2 won't be anytime soon. They don't even have all the figures out for Infinity 1 yet. Ahh true, I forgot infinity came in August not June. Well we may see something varient wise then. Something along the Pumpkin Eye Brawl route. Maybe a wide release of Golden Washbuckler...
