I am certain the wishing well is being sabotaged by a mid level developer at Activision, I say mid level, because any senior level developer would have had the power to torch the well completely and we'd all be reminiscing about it and not thinking about how to get the shrines fixed so we can accumulate more stones. I'm not sure what happened to this particular developer, maybe they fell down a well with some bats...uh, wait that's batman...or maybe this person feels that the ratio of dreams come true vs nickels thrown wasn't appropriate(that would explain a lot about why its so difficult to pull a house out wouldn't it now) either way this individual has a pathological hatred of wells. The following is all the proof you'll need to see that I'm on to something. Not given in chronological order:
1. Where is the original Willie? The old toothless guy who used to run the well and was replaced by some egg shaped puke, who's obviously spent way to much time "experimenting" as evidenced by permagrin. I mean good old adorable Willy who, if you remember correctly, we were told had some time travel snafu that transformed him into a younger version of himself. Did you catch that, with the time travel reference and the well, I know, I know - your mind = blown. We'll sit tight Chachi I'm just getting started, you probably won't be the same after this post.
2. The well used to give out gems as prizes, the best prize being one hundred gems. Boom, vanished just like that one update never to be heard of again. Did the reality around here just get a little thicker or what? I smell some "well" hatred...
3. The time travel glitch that enable you to basically realize all your hopes and dreams by pouncing on the "giving well" again and again and again, was no accident. This mid level developer figured they'd sour Activision on the very idea of the well by enabling it to be a gateway to fisheries and taverns and bbs and presto no more well. And when that didn't work...
4. ...they torpedoed the key wish stone generating option, the shrines - see just about every post that surrounds this one for more info.
5. Totems, alright already with the frustrating forced trip to the well. Nuff said.
6. No reject/instant sell button on deco swag from the well, thus creating, that's right you guessed it, negativity towards the well.
Now, I can't be certain, but I think I saw an Activision drone flying around my house this morning, so add to this thread at your own risk. Don't worry about me though, I have loads of tinfoil, and while I'm not endowed with the capability to fold it into one of those triangle hats, I'm confident I can quickly mash into a bowl shaped cover that protects me from mind control.
Short story long, there is way to much suspicious activity surrounding the well! I admit it's entirely possible that this mid level developer doesn't even realize what they're doing, so I'm writing this to say back off dream killer I'm not your enemy probability is.
If I don't post anymore you'll know that they got to me, and that none of you are safe.

Oh how nice it would be to get gems from the well....
I'll be sad if shrines are broken for good, but it won't surprise me. I always cringe every month when every shouts that it **ONLY** takes 200 stones to get the AE and it's easy peasy to get that. Shhhhhhh!!!!! Lol |

ok
1: The original willie is just a graphic, it makes no odds at all if he's an alien, old, young, skylander, whatever, makes no difference at all! 2: The well did used to give out gems as prizes, well, to be honest the whole game is now WAY WAY WAY more gems than it ever used to! You've got evilised bats, usually 2 gems each, the halls of legeneds, easy to max out and only require wish stones, pays out a fortune in gems quite quickly. The Gem house, 25-100+ per day, so, minimal 750 gems per month!!!! Then all the alt houses they didnt have to put in, and didn't exists when the old well was gem payout! Then Scout/Caddetes/Bird houses, all payout gems. Then hyde, a free gem a day. Cape girl also generates gems, Capybara king is a gam-a-thon, pays out soo many gems is silly really! Plus the triple shrines now which have a chance to payout in gems! I think you'll find the gems you can generate now are MASSIVE compared to the paultry old wishing well! I personally make 75-150 gems per day, 265 in the last 48 hours! Old wishing well couldnt DREAM of that! 3: Time travel glitch is just a glitch, and what a shame that eh, glitch to get all the best stuff, that wishing well is awefull eh! And everyone was happy to have the hyde glitch and take those gems and only complaint was from people who didnt get it so if you glitched it, you can get companions worth 3500 gems, you r old wishing well wouldnt generate that is years. 4: Shrines/Element of the day will be fixed when xmas is over and everyone is back from holiday, hasn't been the end of the world, you also now have totems to get and nothing to see hear also, so, not a dire situation. 5: Yeah they could switch that off, no biggie though. 6: I do agree, selling the stuff from the well is a chore, but you can just leave it in there, you don't have to sell it The well is the well, this is like complaining you're not winning the lottery, its not supposed to be easy! The whole point of the Houses in the well, the radiant fields etc, they're HARD to get, I have had about 3 shrines, 1 giant house, loads of BnB's/fisheries etc, but, it is supposed to be hard and not some easy giveaway! I'm sure you wouldnt agree with any of this, but, that's life |

I hope they roll out some new high-gem-priced items to match the number of gems they are throwing around. Its a strange thing to complain about but for those that have played a long and reached the higher levels, it would be nice to have something to spend them on. I bought Cherry recently just because I have a ridiculous number of gems.
And (until recently), with the number of wishstones that can be produced, the "top prizes" from the well have lost meaning. I think I have 25 B&B's which leaves me with 50,000 spare Mabu. I know, I know, its a rough life... |
