i have some of the store variants and some of the contest skylanders, and i honestly have no idea of the value of any of them. i look on ebay to see and they range from like 5 dollars to 50 to 200 dollars. i am not trying to sell them here dont make any offers please. i just need someone, group of someones, to help me figure out the value so i dont let them go for way under what they are worth. (i am not a scalper, i am a collector and gamer and these things are my things that i got for me but i need money now, so im trying to see if selling them will help me out with the money i need. if they arent worth anything then its not even worth selling tell me, guys please be honest.
all of them are are new and sealed.
Jade Flashwing, Flocked stump smash (ssa), Gold Flameslinger (giants/amazon one), red drill sergeant , boomer and my quick draw rattle shake. I also have the legendary 3 pack from SSA but im pretty sure thats worthless.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll be surprised, the S:SA Legendaries are rare and worth a lot if they're NIB
Flocked Stump Smash is also valuable. $50+. Bronze Flameslinger is worth about $30. Boomer is $30 or less. Quickdraw is $40+. The rest sell for moderately low prices.

Yeah i have the SSA legendaries NIB and have L trigger happy nib to go with them. (i know L-trigger happy is still everywhere though, but that would make it a better set right? so how much you think that would go for?
i love jade flashwing and drill sergeant too much anyway. thank you for telling me flameslinger is bronze not gold, i bet that would have upset someone badly i think im going to try craigslist to sell them cause i need the cash like now and dont want to ship them. you dont think i'll be murdered or robbed or anything like the horror stories about craigslist? skylander collector people are good people right?

I HIGHLY recommend that you do eBay. You'll have to deal with shipping, but you'll get a lot of $.
I find it better than giving away your location to strangers. I'm in the same situation. I need $450 before this Monday, to get 3 one of a kind prototype figures from an Activision employee.

I am somewhat new to ebay, but have picked up a few things.
First, the 'Buy Now' deals are usually overpriced. I don't know if they sell well, but as a buyer, if you have time, probably best to go that route. If you're selling something for $10 or whatever, I'd think people be more willing to just buy and avoid the wait, even if it's a few dollars more. Second, the volume of Skylanders has gone down since Christmas. That makes sense, but I don't know how that effects pricing. Third, the auction with short life go for cheaper. If it's only 24 hours, not enough people will see it to get the price raised up. It doesn't seem to kick in people's impulse buying that much. It seems like 6 days is too long. It will sit there for 3 or 4 days with little activity. 3 days seems to be the right time. I wish I had some insight on what values will be long term, but I'm not an experienced collector. Also, if you are selling for the first time, ebay won't give you your money until after you are evaluated by the buyer. Buyers don't evaluate till the shipment is received...usually. |

I'm an experienced buyer/seller, and I can explain a bit.

How much should Jade Flashwing, Gnarly Tree Rex, Polar Whirlwind, and a Terrabite sealed be bought?

i have a seller account on ebay, its a very very old account. i had a roommate who used it and sold things for me like 10+ years ago. so im verified and all that, but i dont have a credit card connected anymore.
im so paranoid to do ebay stuff. i had to deal with paypal's customer service, or rather lack of, once, and it was pure crap, i never want to go through that again. any advice on how to not have someone reverse a transaction or claim they never got it or what ever other scammy things people do? oh and all my stuff was obtained through normal channels and with determination and luck and only paying retail prices.. not like how a scalper buys a cart of stuff. all my stuff was like one at a time. two if i was lucky. like real collectornes, now i dont want to sell anything... frowny face

I've done thousands of eBay transactions as a buyer and seller with no problem. There are definitely best practices and steps to protect yourself...if you follow some pretty simple common sense rules the need to depend on eBay/PayPal to help you can be drastically reduced.
Still, I don't doubt you for protecting yourself.

As with everything, you must be careful. However, eBay has proven to be pretty safe for me. I have bought and sold nearly 100 items on eBay. I have only had one bad transaction. I refunded the lady her money and did not send the item. She left bad feedback, but I refused to deal with her after what she pulled.
