I know that the Wii U version of Swap Force is way better than the Wii version. However, I do not know about those same versions of Giants. My children just recently got the Wii U and my son asked if Wii U Giants was better like in Swap Force. Does anyone know if their were differences other than the obvious graphics difference. Thanks for any help that anyone can provide.

There's not a massive difference like SSA on Wii compared to the Xbox 360 version, just a little more details on characters and envionrments for the Wii U version.

I mainly like the Wii U version of Giants because I can play without having to have the TV on. The graphics are comprable to both the ps3 and xbox 360 versions.

All basic figures from first 4 games and I've stopped counting. |

I'll add my question to this topic instead of creating a new one. My son is 4 yrs old and I got him a Wii U for christmas. We haven't had any console until I gave him this one for christmas, and he was too young to play the other skylander games. I have bought about 30 skylanders, I have all of the swappable ones, and he LOVES LOVES LOVES swap force. My question is, should I go back and get the Giants game for Wii U for him too, to kind of add content, or since the swappable charactors won't work do you think he'll only be frustrated that he has to figure out which ones will work for the giants game and only play those? I know, each kid is different, just looking for an opinion of the Giants game for wii u itself and any experience with little ones.

This version of Giants was developed POST release by Vicarious Visions, and it is generally agreed that the Wii U version is the best of all versions. In addition to off-tv play, this game runs natively at 1080p, and for any of our PS3 owners, looks significantly sharper over the 720p version. Same is true of Swap Force. It's too bad that the Wii U Spyro's Adventure will stay native to Japan only. It would be nice to see it in 1080p too.

I'd suggest getting Spyro's Adventure and Giants, they way he can learn more about the world of Skylands and play some damn good games

gentjacob, I would definitely pick up both previous games, regardless. If you are concerned the lil guy might be confused of frustrated with regards to his Swappers, you can always save the games for when he is a little older.

Also, Toys R Us has all of their Giants on sale tomorrow for $8 a piece. I believe that it is a one day deal. Giants is a very fun game. You should definitely pick it up when it goes on sale.
