Limit to Skylander Hero level [CLOSED]

So I have looked around and cannot see if everyone is having this same problem. All of my skylanders max out at level 10. Which I was like of fine other than the idea that there are some adventures that open at Hero levels over 10.

Once you reach level 27 you get the companion Ramses for free and then you can level them above 10 (15 is the current max).
