I quite enjoy the game. It is one of the better Spyro games. I have it for the Playstation 2(I was originally going to get it on the Nintendo Gamecube, but I could not find that version in shops) and for the Nintendo DS.

The DS Version is either considered better than the console versions... or not as good but still better than the GBA (and it's not that hard to beat the GBA version e.e).

I have it on Xbox (played through my 360) (has got slightly better visuals), NDS, GBA and Mobile. Its my favourite Spyro game at this point in time smilie

Fourth-favourite Spyro game. My favourite is the second one, second fave is the first game, third-fave is YotD.

RK, my thoughts almost match yours except the original Spyro and Year of the Dragon are the other way round O.o

The PS2 version clearly has the better presentation, but I really love a lot of the technical aspects in the DS version. Though simplistic in execution, the boss fights were really cleverly put down, as were the integration of a few FMVs and music clips to add to the capabilities of the DS version's storage... and let's not forget the GEM PUZZLES O.O I'm GLAD that they're going to rteturn for The Eternal Night on the DS as well, though God knows when I'd get that.

And yes, I also played the GBA version but I didn't keep it...

I can't decide what I prefer. I like good storylines and Spyro kinda lacks there except in um, ANB - ANB has a plot, developed characters, a believeable storyline, great twist at the end (saving Cynder) and promise of more to come (hints in credits cutscene).
