Are skylanders region locked like movies and video games?

I wondered the same thing at first, so in my opinion it is not a dumb question.

No, they are not region locked. I have purchased skylanders from both USA and Europe and all have worked without any issues.

But be warned, if you put a fig from France on the portal, it will only say its catch-phrases in French, etc. Canadian ones allow you to choose the language from the menu options.

Thankfully no. The packaging may vary from region to region, but any Skylander from anywhere in the world will work just fine.
