My Magna Charge bottom stopped working today so I am going to return it. He is level 20 with a lot of gold, so I'd like to keep the top and just exchange the bottom part. Are the top and bottoms mated in any way, like with the online code or something? Or will I be fine swapping out the faulty bottom and keeping my level up top?

I don't think you'll lose anything except for the bottom half's upgrades.

How and where can you return HALF a toy? Does TRU take them back or does Activision have a return policy? Just wondering, in case this happens to me too.

I doubt they are mated. It would take so much more effort to create the swappable characters if they had to be paired with its top.

I suggest calling activision here and explaining the issue, they are more likely to send you the half you need or just the whole figure. Toysrus and Target may let you also if you explain it to them and say you will open the exchange in front of them.

I think activ is the better route, thou it will take longer smilie

I'm going to buy a new one, but swap the top part out, so I will return my broken bottom part and the brand new unleveled top part.

You might be able to reset the toy.

I can't seem to get my portals to work with the old editor. It works with the new database program that someone on these boards made, but I don't think that program will let you backup and restore, will it?
