The Problem With Capitalism [CLOSED]

Isn't that it doesn't give everyone a "fair chance" and leaves "the unfortunate in the dark" or any of that other bleeding-heart Democrat BS. (I'm a Democrat myself, so that took a lot to say)

It is true that capitalism rewards hard work and dedication. However, it creates economic anarchy, and that brings out the natural greed in humans, therefore spawning a political and fiscal bloodbath in which only the dirtiest hardliners end up on top.

Bottom line: If people weren't so corrupt, capitalism would be perfectly fine. But until corruption can be ended (which is probably not possible), there HAS to be a better way.

Yup, Capitalism would be fine. Humanity's been eating it's own poo since 9/11, which caused increase in security. At least in the USA. The terrorists were intending to raise security in the USA and they've already won. If you're living in fear that something you love is going to be destroyed by a terrorist, they've already won.

I really wish I could just move away from Earth.

Quite an exaggeration there.

Sure, capitalism let's people be greedy and use questionable methods to attain wealth and power, but it's better than most of the alternatives we've seen so far.

Fixed that for you.

Truth is, Capitalism as a form of government doesn't work and isn't intended to be. It just ain't natural.

Capitalism is intended to be the basis of our economic system, kept in check by the various aspects of our government, a democratic-republic that is represented by and kept in check by the will of the people.

The problem is, the people are too apathetic/ignorant to do their part (being involved) and they're not keeping eye on the government as they should. Meanwhile, The Government is in bed with The Corporation because, heck, why not? No one cares enough.

Biggest problem with capitalism is that it is not practiced in its purest form. It has always been regulated by governments all around this known world so the ideas of completely free market, free trade and free competition have never manifested themselves. If mankind wished that capitalism worked, one must have stateless environment that gives playground for free-for-all economical competition situation.

Of course it is very difficult to let this situation come true because of the different ethical issues related to it. It would quite rapidly increase income differences and create social class inequality at first but maybe in time the free-for-all market situation would balance itself. This is of course just a speculation. But I think that the world needs more freedom and less regulation. If everything is regulated and over taxed, public sectors all around the world would come ticking time bombs.

Capitalism is a good way. It lets people decide of their life. Liberalism is a way where your wealth limits your opinion. Socialism is a way where everything is for everyone.
Humans are greedy and won't take the easiest way up. All of us are like that. But self-control will hide it from us. Morale is one to deny it.

Exactly. No economy in the world is pure capitalism. And that includes America's economy. <.<
