Not all of these are redundant, though. For example, "close proximity" is not the same as "close" or "proximity" on their own.

It should be noted that most recognized redundancies are not always redundant, so many on list are subjected to this. Not all of these are necessarily negative or should be actively avoided if it adds necessary emphasis or better flow, but too much redundancy is usually a bad thing.

close proximity = close nearness / close closeness
