Am I the only one that feels like the Paper Mario series(Super Paper Mario mostly) that really touched you?

the writing in them is fantastic

i mean, super paper mario dished out a love story on us and i didn't really mind it (it's also really dark, i love it)

Yes. It just amazes me how deep these stories are, especially for Mario games.

The first 3 had excellent writing. Which is part of why Sticker Star is such a disappointment. >.>

I agree, I liked TTYD the most though, but I do see what you mean about SPM.

Haven't played the other 2.

Yeah I agree, the original Paper Mario trilogy is truly something special, especially in a franchise so 'formulaic' as Mario.
I really hope the series returns on the Wii U and back to it's roots, no more of that sticker **** please.
Also gaiz, Super Paper Mario was freaking amazing, who cares if it was different to the first two, it works doesn't it? It still has the humour and fantastic dark plot among other things like the originals... oh yeah... and Francis. ^.^ nerrrrrrrrrr

Oh yeah and this, IMO:
1) Thousand Year Door (obviously )
2) Paper Mario
3) Super Paper Mario
4) Sticker Star

i didn't hate sticker star but it's really disappointing compared to all the other ones. i see super paper mario get its share of hate because it lacks the turn based RPG combat system but for me the writing and everything else made up for it (i think it has the best story of the series)
