I just got an e-mail saying that Toys R Us is having some of their Black Friday deals, today (Friday 11/2). The only thing Skylanders I saw was all SSA and SG figures will be B1G1. This is pretty interesting, as who knows how they will stock it. Will they hold figures back for Thanksgiving, meaning the only thing you will get today is the same stuff that's been collecting dust? Or will they put out new stock, today? If it's the latter, then what kind of stock will they have and what will they still have much on Thanksgiving? I remember going last year to pick up some SSA figures at B1G1 on Black Friday, but I don't remember what they had. We had never played the game, but knew our son was getting it for Christmas, so we picked up a couple. I now wonder if one of them was Boomer as I remember picking out a couple of figures that were green (since that's my son's favorite color) and ended up picking up Stealth Elf because I thought she looked cooler. I think my wife wanted the other one. She may have been more right, if it really was Boomer I don't know of any other green figures except for Dino Rang, which I know wasn't a part of it, because I saw a picture of him at the time and thought my son would like him, too, if I could find him.

Also, it's been reported that the B1G140% will continue into next week and on the 26th, they will have a deal where you get Giants starter pack free with the purchase of Swap Force starter pack. Probably not a good deal for most of us, though. And also on the 27th, all SSA 3-packs and adventure packs will be $9.99.

Since there are reports of earlier SSA figures being ordered, and since it would make sense that if you were making a big order for them, you would stock them for a sale like this. So could Boomer appear for the sale? And I've seen reports of people finding the 3-pack with Boomer at TRU (although it seems scarce). But could they get some in for the sale on the 27th? I'm interested in finding out.

With Dino Rang's rerelease it's very possible that you may see boomer just for this since swap force in on the shelves and I think acti is really wanting to get more money from the back catalog of figures. I don't think swap force is making a big splash like they hoped as I see more figures sitting on shelves these days and no one really buying them.

I think it might be hard to determine how well it's doing just by that point, alone. For one, stores seem to be keeping stocked up. My TRU will run out of certain figures, but a few days later get more in. Other stores have had the same few since launch, but still missing some of them, especially wave 2 (although yesterday I found lots of wave 2 in two different stores, but they probably just got stocked). You also have to consider that a lot of people are waiting for holiday sales. There has really been no sense in the average person buying Swap Force, now, knowing it will be on sale for the holidays. The same would go for the figures, especially if you haven't purchased the game, yet.

I think most people assume too much from their local TRU managers. Strategy on stocking? Yeah, I'm sure that's on the top of his list

Where did you see the deal for Wed, Nov 27? Is there a leaked ad somewhere? A knowledgeable TRU employee confirmed they usually have a sale on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but she did not know what's included.

Went yesterday to my local TRU (Baltimore). No boomer, no zook. Pretty good supply of most other SSA characters.

There's a TRU on CAG that posts info about TRU deals and stock that he's seen. He reported the sale on 11/26 & 11/27.

I went to my TRU on Friday and they didn't have much at all. They only had the same stock of SSA that they've had for months plus a ton of the "exclusive" Dino-Rangs. There wasn't any sign mentioning the B1G1 free, even though there was an e-mail sent out promoting it. If they get Boomer, I'm not sure what other one I would want for free, anyway. They did have Legendary Stealth Elves about a week or so, ago. I put one behind a peg of Flashwings and it stuck around for a few days. I'm not sure if it's still there. I might pick it up with the Boomer. Or maybe I should just pick up a couple of Boomers and put the other one up on ebay or Craigslist or something. If they get the 3-pack of him for the $9.99 sale, that might be sweet, too, but I don't need the other 2 figures. I have an extra SSA 3-pack that has Drobot and Stump Smash that I never opened. It came with a backpack we bought our son on clearance at FYE. I've been debating on what to do with it. I wish I could somehow trade it for the Boomer 3-pack. Maybe I should just put it on Craigslist or eBay for $10-$15 and then take that money and go to TRU on Wednesday to pick up a Boomer 3-pack (if they get them) or Empire of Ice (since we're still missing that one).

Matteo, how did you hear about the 150 cases of SSA? Any word on what wave?

Just went to my TRU. They had Wham Shell on the shelf and pretty much reloaded with all the swappers.
