    And maybe to just continue being a very enduring person.

    Though, to be honest, I'm the kind of person who really doesn't deserve life goals. :V

    What makes you think that?



    A combination of major trust issues, not being able to properly make basic plans for my life past the next week or two, not being a very talented person, not having slept properly in months, always ending up doing a ton of stuff for other people, etc, etc...

    Really, life goals are one of the most worthless things I could have right now. Not saying they are useless in general, just for someone like me.

    I mean, I would go ahead and say "to find my soul mate" or whatever, but I don't even deserve that right now.

    When you look at it rationally there is no such thing as "deserving something". It's an idea constructed and utilized by human society.

    So science says you don't need to worry about stuff like that. You can do whatever you're capable of doing.

    And look, if you can find your "soulmate" and make her happy. In any situation I'd say that's a soulmate well deserved.

    I'm a firm believer in "don't expect to make others happy, if you can't make yourself happy". I have a hard time doing the latter, and as a direct result, the former.

    And, well, there are a lot of ideas constructed by human society. I could go on all day about the amount of arbitrary concepts I think we've conjured up. But, because I'm a mere human living among other humans, I will always end up applying these concepts, as without a lot of them, we can't live among other humans. So I see no point in trying to be above them, personally.

    Well jeez, if you want to be sad, be sad. But is there a specific reason as to why you couldn't make yourself happy? I mean, surely you don't wish unhappiness on yourself.

    No, not really "above them".. Just not living "under them", if that's even a term.

    Sure, all of it is your choice. I'm just under the impression that you could use some brightening up in some aspects of your life. Not that I'd know, but it's my first impulse to try to support you in some way when I read you saying stuff like that.

    I'm less really upset right now, and more just really apathetic, to be honest. I appreciate your concern, and have always thought that was a nice aspect of your personality (can't think of any unpleasant ones, honestly), but there is really no need to worry about me. I tend to tackle my problems well enough.

    Though the whole struggle for happiness thing is not uncommon at all, really.

    And I am kind of terrible at self-assessment anyway.
