Game Reset [CLOSED]

I've been checking my daughters game on her iPad occasionally during the day while she is at school to help collect wish stones so she'll have more for this weekend. Today I tried getting into the game and it just stayed at loading. After a couple more tries it finally went into the game, but it was like you were just starting from scratch. I had to go out for a bit and when I got back it was the same. I visited her world from mine and it looked like it should with all the progress she made.

Is there anyway to recover from this? Unfortunately we don't use Activate and I haven't synced her iPad since she started playing a little over a week ago. Thanks.

Not using Activate may be "the problem". When I first started using Activate to get friends this happened to me a few times and then I eventually lost a years worth of progress permanently. It happened to a few people on this board. Some Activision was able to help, some of us not. My advise would be to go ahead and get your game set for Activate and back it up to iCloud. This should prevent you from seeing even the temporary resets and lets you add more friends if you want.

It sounds like you have been logged out of Activate. You should try logging back into Activate. Under the social/kudos menu, tap the Activate logo.

We don't use Activate though I will sign us up for it now. When we first started playing I read some threads about corrupt save files and it seemed to be related to Activate so I decided not to bother with it.

I guess the main thing I don't understand is that if we visit her, it still has her Islands at level 10 so that progress must be saved somewhere and if so can it be recovered?

If you visit her then you are using activate.

We are only setup as friends on Game Center though. If I click the Activate button on my iPad it asks me to sign up.

@Maniac,

This happened to me once and a few days later poof my game was back. Can't say why, but it is possible for it to come back. You might miss the wish weekend though.

Also when this happened to me I started completely over and when my game came back it kicked out the other one never to be seen again, which was a bummer because it was the one and only time I ever got a giant on a spin.

I wasn't aware of that option as I don't use Game Center. It does sound like there is a cloud save that you are able to visit, so it may work to create an activate account and see if it will load. I'm not so sure that will work but it's worth a shot. That would be more a question for activision or advisor Orville. Some people with similar issues have received help from the activision support link or Facebook page.
