You know, in other forums, you can ping a user and they can be notified.
Example:
@CommanderGame Hello.
I would then receive a PM or something giving me a link to the post I've been pinged on.
It would be quite useful so we don't have to constantly follow topics we're interested in.

I don't think It would be too much of a problem. Of course, some Pings would be blocked, such as @dark52 so he dosen't get hoarded with notifications.

Can dark or the mods say something about this? I don't think it would be too hard to do, and it woudn't cause much problems would it?

But yeah this would be cool, but not necessary. Not sure how much of a chore it would be to add it either.

It wouldn't be that much trouble to implement, but I can see it being abuse. There are several users on here who would ping 20+ users in one post. If limitations were set and the ability to turn of ping notifications then I think it would be pretty cool.

I think that would be much better than @username because it'd lessen the chance of people pinging multiple users at once just to spam their inbox.
