If I have two of the same swapper (Hoot Loop, for example), does it matter which top half is connected to which bottom half? I wouldn't think it would be a problem, but I know each character is assigned one code (on the sticker sheet) so I wanted to make sure this wouldn't be some kind of problem.

Anyone out there had a half break or had kids switch the halves and lose track of the original pairing?

Yes it does matter, but you could just give them nicknames or something.

Aside from the upgrades, why do you care if they get switched?

I'm more or less making sure there aren't problems associated with doing so. As there are basically no upgrades on either, I'm sure it's fine. The question was posed to me, and I had no idea. I knew I could count on everyone here for some good answers, and maybe this will make a good reference for anyone who may have the same off-the-wall question in the future.
