With SSW out for play, I was going through several of the Skylanders in my collection and playing them in the first two games. I was quite surprised by some of the characters playability and discovered how fun they were to play. BASH was a real joy and he has become a favored character as a result.

I was wonder if others have had the same experience and which character it was that surprised you the most.

also Bash for me, I thought i would not like him one bit, but He's quite nice.

I always liked Bash.
I think Whirlwind or Sonic boom surprised me most. They are both pretty great in game.

We got Bash a few months ago and I was very surprised at how good he was. But, recently, we finally got Dino Rang. I got a chance to play with him for the first time, the other day. He was pretty awesome, in my opinion. Apparently, even my son hadn't played with him much because he only had a tiny bit of experience on level 1. But we played on nightmare mode and I lasted quite a while. It's cool that he can hit stuff behind him. It helped when I kept getting surrounded by spiders. His boomerangs would take out a bunch at once. And his normal attack was fast, so I was able to keep attacking those in front of me really quickly.

I didn't like Free Ranger at first. I got him in the 3DS starter pack but when I tried him I was surprised that he has some strong attacks so he's now one of my favourite Swappers.

Bash seems to have became better on the roll. (Important since I love that path)

This maybe shouldn't have been a surprise, but I didn't expect Fire Kraken to be as awesome as he is. I was planning on getting just Grilla Drilla with Wave 2 and thought Boom Jet looked cool, so I decided to get him as well. Then I saw a preview of Fire Kraken that showed his dragon parade attack and thought it looked awesome, so I decided to get him. And, even though I picked him up as an afterthought, he is by far my favorite of those 3 now. All of his attacks are fireworks!! And the dragon parade attack is just way cool. He's my current favorite Skylander (swapper or not) just because all of his attacks look so awesome!
