People were sending rude or sexual notes to people on Street Pass.

I never used it though.

I seen a bunch of people get angry over this on another forum, and I've already said my piece on why I think Nintendo are actually making the right decision (or rather, the ONLY decision) in closing this down.

TLsmilieR version of it all:
It sucks, but it's for the best. And it's not like Nintendo can moderate StreetPass and SpotPass activity directly. Don't get angry at Nintendo on this one, get angry at the individuals who misused the service, and the ignorant parents who didn't bother to find out how to turn StreetPass and SpotPass off.

My friend who I chat with often using it was pissed. When I told her, she said she'd been wondering why I hadn't replied to her notes. Hopefully they come up with something that will fix it other than simply discontinuing SpotPass permantly.

Though Nintendo seriously has to step it up, social media sites can easily remove content so if Nintendo monitored the system I guess that could work, though of course there would be issues with that.
A report button could probably help though.

they could've just made it so you can't send pictures through it anymore... i had a lot of fun with swapnote
