With all the crashing issues, many are talking about the importance of making your own backup of your island.
What do you think the easiest and fastest way to do this is?
Back-up your entire device to a desktop each night?
Back-up just the island to a desktop each day? (Can you do just that?)
Login on a separate device regularly, so you have a local back-up in more than one place?
Other suggestions?

I take constant pictures of my islands. Not a backup, but hopefully it can help me get back what I had should things go that way.

I think that is faster and more convenient to back up the entire device, I do almost always 2 times a day. It takes very little time (1-2 minutes in ipad) to do the copy from itunes.
I've already recovered the game 4 or 5 times from the ipad's backup. It has one drawback: to restore , you have to restore the ipad / iphone completely, and it takes longer (about 15-20 minutes) . I don't know how to back up only the game, would be nice to know , if it can be done. Taking pictures is faster (I've thought it), but the inconvenient is that if you have a problem with your game, although you can send the photos to Activision to restore your kingdom, they take weeks to fix it . I 've been waiting weeks to restore my kingdom on the iphone and so, I could play at the same time in both devices. They have answered me with several PM , but they are studying the problem yet. Playing on both devices, lets you to do something like a backup, because you can always have a good game if you have a problem in the other device. I did it before the update that screwed us all (the update of the kudos ) but now, I'm hoping since that they solve the problem without success. I hope I explained well (my English is so bad ...) |
