I know I'm a little late to the party but did anyone else notice that you can add the Alt Deco/Legendary characters that came out with Swap Force into the game even though they don't show up in the character list? I'm currently sitting at 114 characters with the extra 4 being Nitro Magna Charge, Legendary Grim Creeper, Legendary Razor Bird Guy and Enchanted Hoot Loop.

I believe only the portal works for adding these figures but can't confirm that. The only "downside" to unlocking characters that aren't officially added to the game yet is that they don't yet have personal quests. However, as with Dark Stealth Elf and Dark Blast Zone, once they are added to the game their personal quests will immediately be available even if you've leveled them past 5.

I can confirm they can only be downloaded via the portal. Personal quests as you said will immediately start the moment they are made available to all player via spin or gem purchase.

Has anyone tried using the webcodes for the regular versions, then add them through the portal? I know before, you could use the webcode for a variant on the regular version, if the variant wasn't in the game (i.e. Molten Hot Dog worked for Hot Dog and Jade Flashwing worked for Flashwing). When they added them into the game, later, you could use the webcode again for the variant, thus getting 2 Skylanders with one code. I wonder if it would work this way.
